Visiting Iceland is like traveling backward in time to around 100 million years ago, when dinosaurs still roamed the plains, and humans were a distant thought. We spent 10 days exploring the desolate landscapes of this iconic country, following a crazed Icelandic fisherman named Kristján. We butted heads, battled rainstorms, spent days without catching anything, and made some of our favorite fishing memories. We tried fermented shark meat, slept in wet sleeping bags, and hiked dozens of miles in search of giant trout.
Iceland is one of those places that still haunts our dreams. It’s a magical place, full of kind people, otherworldly landscapes, and some of the best trout fishing in the world.
