Tide affects the Skenna River all the way to Terrace, B.C

It was really cool to see how much it affected the river. It was much higher when we were going than when we came back.

That was Witset Canyon not Telkwa falls. Witset Canyon is a traditional fishing spot of the Wetsuetin People. The section of river at that rest stop is definitely tidal. The tides in Rupert are up to 7 M and push upriver halfway to Terrace

What hotel were your staying at in Rupert with only 2 beds?

We were at the Prestige. I wouldn't recommend it.

Ok thank you! I used to work at the Crest Hotel and wanted to know if it was one of their less expensive rooms on the main floor. I’m glad it wasn’t. :)
