Best footballing side to come to Stockport this season, Luke seems like a good bloke and I wish him well, Notts are a good club too I met a few of their fans at Stockport and we enjoyed a drink together without a hint of trouble.
You were the best, Luke. And as much as this hurts, and I want to get angry, I can't. You brought hope and a sense of self back to Meadow Lane when it was most needed, and for that, you'll always be a hero.

Swans fan here. The way this man talks about PEOPLE is something I can't take for granted. I dunno, I know a lot of people meme and take the mick but really FEELING for people is rare these days. Looks like you had a manger who did that and it makes me emotional knowing that we have an opportunity to do the same with him. All these rich oppressive people moving into football and all we have is people like Luke who can lead the charge in reminding them what football here is really about. Ty Notts County for having a massive amount of fans who understand everything about football today and what this means. I genuinely hope the right manager is found for you and your club has everything it wants.

Luke's stint with the club and what he was able to do was nothing short of astounding but the way he treats the people around him makes him even more special. Nothing but the absolute best of luck to him in Swansea and whoever's the next manager at Notts, there's some big shoes to fill here.
As a stockport supporter i would like to say the football you playedat Edgeley park was the best i have seen in a long time and that was due to the footballing approach of the manager ...It is far more entertaining than the long throw ,set piece,diving approach used as a blueprint by other sides 👍

Great interview. He seems genuine and one can feel his emotion. Should be a good fit and his prior experience at Swansea and with Russell Martin might be beneficial. As a proud Virginian I just hope he will be backed by the dreadful American owners . Martin had the Swans dominating the last couple months at the end of the prior season. Rather than build on that they went cheap as they normally do.

@@JoeYetski-lf7dw not really, let's not act like the club wouldn't have wanted to sack him if he was relegated or if someone said Notts County can go to the championship but you have to sack the manager you'd be wanting him sacked and googling new managers in 5 minutes. Him wanting to go back to Swans and be near his family in a higher division isn't a lack of loyalty it's ambition. He clearly loved his time with Notts County tho!
GYRFM - personally think there could have been a disagreement in what players to go for. What I'm not liking is LW had his contract renewed which means more money and stability(which is what he wanted) he's just gone and had a little chat at his house with other clubs??? Hardly loyalty if you ask me, think it's a bit underhanding to go behind the back of the brothers who pay HIS wages and go searching for better deals 😡 just think it's disrespectful towards fans but mostly the owners, then you read on social media people moaning because no ones updated the NCFC account and informed the fans? Theyve clearly had this sprung on them, they have to pick up the pieces when someone does a fast one, i can accept players doing this but not the manager (hardly setting a good example is it) the owners are the ones responsible not GYRFM-JoeYetski 😂 No one cares about the owners though do they, its just another person to moan at when things aren't going well.

Oh Luke, you brought pride back to this wonderful old football club. Every game under his management was one I’d look forwards to watching - it was never a chore to head to Meadow Lane or follow the team away. The atmosphere he helped cultivate at Notts County will have to really go some to be bettered. We’ll all miss him so much, but as sad as LW’s departure is, I look forward to seeing his rise as a manager over the coming years. He has all the skills needed to get to the top, whether that’s with the Swans or another team. Thanks for the memories gaffer. Long live King Luke!

The combination of winning games and the quality of the football played was exceptional. I would say it was a lot more entertaining than some of the Premier games. Hopefully we will get a manager who is just as successful but will the games be as good to watch? There are a few well known managers out of work but do we need a high profile failure? I am sure the "brothers" will make a wise choice as they did with Luke.

He was not necessarily " deceiving " anyone. What would fans' say if he had said , well, I'm only passing through. Losing personnel is part of the game, and supporters need to grow up and realise that nothing is forever.

My worry is the knock on effect, basically the guy telling everyone else what to do is gone the drive might go, the love might go, the commitment was already going before we all knew about this opportunity for him
Thats very harsh even as a notts fan he can be with his wife and children very night in stead of talking remote via a computer and Swansea offers higher wages. So be fair if another employer offers double your wages and you can be with your wife and children more who are young rather than in a rented house alone nobody would turn down that possibility or chance. The guy is class he has done the exit interview we respect his decision as every employable person would do the same and we move on
“tapping up” rule? Owner personally visited LW house? This isn’t right surely? Your not supposed to chase people employed in football under contract, you have to go though the proper channels and approach the owners.
Who ever the new manager is, he needs to use Chicksen more than Luke did, he also needs to put Brindley on Serving my beer under the ground and Cameron Directing The Traffic 🚥
