FARFETCH PRELOVED Louis Vuitton Trousse 23 and 28! 

Hi! Of course I understand. I try to mention pricing but often times I don't remember what it is and don't want to provide misinformation. There are some videos (mostly in my Europe or Japan haul videos) where I will talk about price and savings with VAT refunds and currency exchange rates. Some reasons why some pre-loved items are OVER retail: 1) super popular 2) rarity, or discontinued from the retailer 3) not discontinued but hard to get or 4) excellent condition. I just checked my email receipts and the price I paid for the 23 in excellent condition was $603 (which I feel was on the high range but fair given it's excellent condition) and for the 28 it was $442 (fair/average). The best thing to do with vintage items is to just research, research, research. If the item is still in production check with the OG retailer first (unfortunately the Trousse does not fall into that category) and then cross reference with pre-loved sites to see what they are going for on the second hand market. I usually check Fashionphile first - I think they're a little more expensive but I absolutely trust them and their authentication process and I think they are incredibly descriptive in the condition. I will check The Real Real for prices but tend to stay away from buying from them because I don't trust them or their descriptions (but it's a good just from a research perspective), and Poshmark. Poshmark will usually be cheaper and they do free authentication over $500 but generally I have found it to be hit/miss and the Louis Vuitton Trousses I did see on Posh weren't in the condition I wanted them to be. I generally don't mind paying a little more if I absolutely trust the retailer and their authentication process. At the end of the day it boils down to what *your* opinion is and what you're willing to spend for what you want, not anyone else's if that makes sense. Some people would balk at paying $603 for the Trousse. On the other hand, some people have no problem paying $20k for an Hermes bag that retails for $10k because they don't want to play the Hermes 'games' and pre-spend. So to them, paying $20k for the EXACT bag in the exact color/hardware combo is worth it to them. It'll just be a personal decision between what you want and what you're willing to spend. Of course though checking the pre-loved sites to research can give you an idea of what the 'range' is! Thanks for leaving that thoughtful question and I hope this was helpful.

I love them both! They've been incredibly useful for longer trips. For makeup only I think you can get away with the smaller one but I have to admit I've definitely found both to be great for travel 🧳

They guarantee authenticity but just to be safe I would probably only purchase from the stores in Japan (farfetch shows you which country you are buying from, so I've only bought pre loved from Japan).

Oh I purchased this from Farfetch! They partner with retailers all over the world and they tell you what country the item is from. The store in Japan is called Amore Vintage
