As much as I did love V.M. Varga as the newest villain of the series it was pretty fun to see this character go from having complete control of the situation to being nervous and fearful for his life in this scene. He shows more emption in this scene than he did at the very end of the season when he is held by homeland security. I did like the fact that he managed to escape from Nikki and Mr. Wrench. I just keep trying to imagine him climbing up and within vents.
I don't know why I find it so satisfying, but those two brief moments of silence when you are seeing from Wrench's perspective in this scene are just perfection 👌
I've always noticed a snake symbolism too. Snakes often vomit out their prey when they're in danger and need to move quickly, that might have something to do with the vomit scenes plus snakes also shed skin
I fucking flipped when I saw the deaf guy make an appearance again in this season. Loved the deaf guy and as well as Mary Winsteads character in this season
The conversation he has with her on the phone earlier "Im letting you know that i will be arriving with what you would call a firing squad" or something along those lines
@@Onmysheet It's more like he recognized the futility of trying to get in the elevator at that instant. The door was practically closed by the time he got there and he was facing away from a gunman ready to kill. He was fucked and he knew it because Varga couldn't take a chance and wait for his guys to get on the elevator with him.
That last part is a good point. To be fair, Meemo had no idea that the reason for Varga's fear was standing right behind him, so it was most likely a look of "I don't know what you're doing, but okay, I'll stay here."
@@JackOfSomeTrades29 I always felt that it was one of the few moments Vargas actually had human emotions, being forced to leave Meemo like that so save himself.
@@mckenzie.latham91 Eh idk about that. He shows emotion, but its not exactly sympathetic. He gives Meemo a "yeah sorry about this m8" shrug as he goes up
Season 3 is fantastic but an even more slow burn than the other two seasons. Took me a while to come back and really appreciate it for what it did. It's definitely the most experimental season of the show by far.
LazyJ yeh I found that I was instantly right into season 1 and 2 but it took a while for me to get into season 3 it was about the time they killed Ray which was when I really got into and the last couple eps were amazing and a crazy ending to the entire season with Emmet getting killed by Mr Wrench and the wonderful waiting to see if someone would come get Varga.
@@iamthebatman6557 Yo, I'm the Batman! I thought season 3 was the best! What's the dude who played both characters I forgot his name forgot his name. I really liked him I thought he was excellent! They were all good though in my opinion but I think I'd like season 3 the best. I watched it twice in fact I watched all 3 seasons twice each episode there was so good! I remember when I 1st saw the 1st season I was completely blown away! Instantly hooked!
Bit odd how Nikki is all of a sudden an ultra assassin. I understood they needed to show Varga getting outplayed for his character arc but this seemed a tad stupid for him.
I don't think you need to be an ultra-assassin to take out two guys who are probably just sitting in their cars, leisurely waiting around. I do that all the time. (probably should not have posted that)
Nikki and Mr.Wrench are unpredictable. He's on a time table. He wants to get the hell out of dodge before his fraud is discovered by the Feds. He made a desperate move of a show of force to recover items that would expose the operation. Basically walked into a trap.
@@feelsman7837 there are some very supernatural elements to him though...to all the main villains be it Malvo, Hanzee or vargas it's more prevalent in the beginning of the season when Vargas is taking over Emmet and Cy's business, and his slow corruption of Emmet.
0:20 well dont join no gang or mob anyone! Instead of being betrayed by any of your friends or boss to die or get killed from! In Kill Bill 2003, i think it better and i rather be whooped beaten by Beatrix's sword instead of being left out to lose! Sane goes for everyone don't keep doing bad things or something will come to you later on! It happens!
@@dirklerxstpratt2112 unfortunately that dentist is dead at this point.. I don't think Varga and Malvo would be allies. One of them is the boss of an underworld international crime organization, the other one is a wild chaotic loner. Varga would avoid meeting someone like Malvo. And Malvo would kill someone like Varga.
@Nathan T Son, Wrench being able to kill them with the advantage of preparation is unrealistic, but Lorne Malvo running into the Fargo HQ head on killing what? 25 armed gangsters isn’t? The series was never about realism.
@@colonel.halberstern5893 'the deaf guy' was trained by hanzee motherfucking dent, the guy who wiped out the gerhardt family pretty much singlehanded, and was held in esteem by lorne malvo aka the guy who later wiped out hanzee and 23 other guys all by HIMself as the best hitman who ever came after him... nikki obviously has a past and is more than just a bridge player too. As she says to vargas, she's a strategist. She put meemo and his guys in a long, narrow hallway with wrench holding an AR, gave him the element of surprise and alarms blaring to mask any noise. If you're as good as wrench that's all you need to wipe out a room full of confused, disoriented thugs. It's not that hard to buy.
