I grew up with a very large family. 13 kids and mom and dad. Back in the day all of us kids picked green beans, strawberries, cherries, cabbage, you name it we all worked at a very young age. I was 7 years old when I was doing this. I father worked on the farmers equipment, We helped dad built truck beds, van bodies, grain beds, some with lifts. The farmers would always call my mom and dad and tell us them to come get a load of corn, green beans or what ever they had. We all sat at our huge table my father built and snipped green bean, shocked corn, cleaned peaches, pear, cherries. And more. We canned 400 quarts of green beans and everything else we got or froze it. The smell of the mint trucks going by throughout the day smelled so awesome. I wish the farmers would do that for people now days. We never went hungry. Thx for reading.
Just came to say that they aren't destroying them due to lack of water or demand or whatever nonsense they're saying. The government is paying them to destroy the crops and is going to penalize them if they don't. My farmer pal here in AZ just received such a letter but is afraid to publish it.
Thats criminal, how about giving it to the poor, countrys that really need it or the public etc? insted of raising prices to the supply thats left ! Now they are even killing cows causing even more shortages and price increases in the country but there yet ,you go and donate millions of dollars to ukrane while people here are starving and many lost their businesses , homes and wer in crisis?? Fuel prices are over $5 a gallon!! Can some one explain why??? Lord have mercy on their souls.
right !? that's bs considering that they could've put a bublic paper or internet announcement that there's free food to go and pick yourself instead of CONSUMING DIESEL for destroying.

The farmers who destroy crops when there is such a need should be barred from receiving any govt bailouts or future subsidy. They are putting profits over doing the right thing. That goes for the packing houses and distributors as well. Many of these farms, packing houses and distributors are corporate owned and Wall Street funded conglomerates. They should be cullled from the farming business just like the crops and livestock they’ve destroyed in the times of need.
