May they both rest in peace with the angels. I don't think there will ever be another actress quite like Farrah or an interviewer like Brian (who was doing that research long before there was such a thing as the internet).
She did act like she was amazingly beautiful. That's why she kept flicking her head and touching her hair. Even though Linehan wasn't straight and wasn't interested in her sexually, she still flirted with him.
@gaynor1721 You think Farrah was flirting with him ? 😂😂😂 Sorry but nope, there was zero sxual energy coming from her towards him. That's just nervous energy about being on camera alone and having to be "on". I would bet even the guy would admit he knew she wasnt into him.
It's her spirit that is 💖 sparkling ! She even says she's beautiful when she's moving, talking, etc, and that is truly when her soul shines through. I read comments once in a while where a younger person says she's not so great, what's so special about Farrah ? It's her wholeness, her being, her aura. She was just so light and charming. The longer you watch her, the more you want to keep watching her. I can see why Ryan wanted to keep her all to himself. 💖
she is particularly lovely here, i like her hair like this actually more than the famous Farrah hairstyle.....she was intelligent, articulate and a very beautiful soul.
Wonderful. Brian Linehan gave a great interview too: none of the usual sliminess when a man interviews a beautiful woman. Refreshing to see how his questions were warm but respectful and free of any sexual insuation.
I'm a huge lifelong Farrah fan. I hope there will be more on her like this. She was in the height of Farrah mania at this time. She was so humble and very beautiful.
@@desmit4406 I wonder if she was abused by men at times also? I read in the early years Lee Majors said the hollywood wolves would be out to get her if he did not protect her.,,
@@cyber4052and arsenio hall. It was sad to hear her behave so ditsy. She was either super nervous or high. This interview and only one other that I've seen reflect her intelligence and genuineness.
Loved her look or, in general, that varied make-up look that you had back then in the late 70s, and throughout the 80s & 90s. There wasn't any of this hideous, 'everyone looks the same', heavily contoured, fake lashes, fake eyebrows, trout pout look that so many want to emulate today, and not a tattoo or piercing in sight either! It's a shame she too had to succumb to a few cosmetic procedures later on, but at least back then her natural beauty shone through! RIP Farrah!
This was the Farrah I loved so beautiful and innocent! Truly a class act! Takes me back to a simpler time , a more honest time! Raquel Welch and Mae West should have learned from her! She was a true star without being Bitchy and acting like a Diva!!! I will miss this classy lady and that particular time period! Rest In Peace beautiful angel!!!
I totally agree. Lee Majors may have been a male chauvinist, but compared to the extremely toxic Ryan O' Neal he was Farrah's knight in shining armour.
In another interview that I saw with Farrah Fawcett she said that 3 times in her life, she was on a first date and her date proposed marriage to her. That sums up the amazing power she had. She said yes to one of them, Lee Majors.
Horrible the way other females treated her. Bad jealousy or bitter envy is a very ugly thing in humans. The part in humans that disappoints me the most in human nature along with self centred arrogance, excessive greed, lying and narcissism.
She's so honest w/o pretension or a pr agenda to spin. 70's seem so innocent. Great interview by Linehan, he let her speak and asked thoughtful questions. She had it all, didn't she.. was close to her family and so sweet before she went off with O'Neal.
she would of probably told you she went off with O Neal because she had some co-dependency issues, and probably did being as dependent emotionally on her family as she was. i was around AA for 30 years--we know about stuff like that.
I've never heard Farrah speak at such length before - eloquent, open and down to earth with a voice like honey. Brian Linehan really knew how to give his guests space and set them at ease.
I never realized she was so genteel, innocent, pure-hearted and sort of naive in her earlier years... it is so interesting but sad how things evolved later. I think it was very hard on her being in the Hollywood environment and being in relationship with someone like O'Neal:(
@@SUGAR_XYLER Oh, you can tell from the way she speaks that she's definitely not a ditz. And I think she was thinking about studying biology in college. She was plenty smart. Later years were kind of ugly.
I think she had codependency issues but you're right Ryan O'Neal was terrible for her. Actually terrible for anyone. She been a lot better off without him.
And a few years after this FARRAH was in the mega hit.🌟 (CANNONBALL RUN) THE AWARD WINNING MINI SERIES 🌟 (MURDER IN TEXAS) WITH SAM ELLIOT THEN 🌟(THE BURNING BED) A MEGA ICONIC HIT ,THEN THE BROADWAY 🌟 RUN OF (EXTREMITIES )FARRAH THEN STARRED IN THE MOVIE VERSION OF 🌟 EXTREMITIES , AND THEN HER GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD WINNING ROLE AS BARBRA HUTTON (POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL) A FIVE HOUR FILM LETS NOT FORGET FARRAHS AWARD FOR STARRING WITH RYAN ONEAL (SMALL SACRIFICES ) as killer diana downs AND ON AND ON A 40 YEAR CAREER OF EXCELLENCE TILL CANCER SNATCHED THE BLONDE SUPER STAR FROM US ☝ 💥🐝RIP FARRAH FAWCETT 👏 👏 👏 a wonderfull legacy in 📺 tv and film. 🎥 💃& commercials
@@elizabethferrari1346 .......No where near the amount really young girls wear nowadays . Many look like whores and uglier the more they wear . They have become delusional .....I get playing with make up. But, to wear out in public on a daily ......Not so much !
d hart yup, I wonder how her parents really felt about her fully embracing the LA and Hollywood lifestyle that changed her so much. (Hey loved her but in many ways, her story is sad.) Nobody else was that charming and lovely.
Such a beautiful woman inside and out. I didn't think she was a good actress until I saw The Burning Bed. I need to see more of her work. Apparently I've missed a lot.
🌹FARRAH was cool, very NICE, clever, simple, BEAUTIFUL inside and outside, she is speaking very good English...The PERFECT WOMAN......It is impossible to hate her...😇.SHE IS AN ANGEL🌹🌹🌹🌹
Brian Linehan was a Canadian national treasure. He would do great research (often pleasantly surprising celebrities with little tidbits he'd learned about their lives), ask insightful questions, and - best of all - truly listen to his guests without cutting them off. He had a way of putting people at ease so that they would let their guard down and really open up. I watched him interview dozens of people when I was growing up - the best interviewer I've ever seen. RIP Brian and Farrah.
That was my thought, really. "What's wrong with this host? He neither makes the show about himself nor tries he to parade his guest around." Then I looked it up and found that both, host and show, were Canadian.
The beauty industry is part of the problem. They've gone overboard marketing a lot of tacky makeup. Also, a certain level of inclusiveness is admirable (and not out of line with beauty), but now they pander to everybody, including lazy slobs and people with bad taste. Women used to use simple and sensible measures to improve their appearances, like keeping their weight down and wearing clothes that flatter their faces and figures. They also used makeup to brighten and prettify their natural looks. It's not about trends that entice you--it's about what suits you best!
Young women today think they have to wear fake eyelashes, have a ton of tattoos, show too much skin, get Botox, fake, duck smiles, nose piercings...it's pathetic. Back then we brushed our hair, put on a bit of lip gloss, maybe eyeliner, and a real smile, and were good to go! 😊
As a boy, this may be the first woman I fell in love with, lol. She is so incredibly beautiful and charming. Even at a young age I felt it. When she was on screen she had my full attention. These old clips...bitter-sweet.
Farrah was so beautiful. She was THE face of the 70s. She really was a talented artist, also. Her sculptures are really interesting. She strove to grow and change and develop as an artist. An interesting woman and an interesting life.
She should have stayed with lee majors. If not def not ryan oneal. It shocks me how much she wanted a baby & allowed ryan to make him become a drug addict.
It wasn’t all Ryan. FF made her own choices. They led the typical Hollywood life as a couple, plenty of parties, and Redmond was subject to the things kids should never be exposed to.
This great lady was just that A GREAT LADY. She shinned as strong as the SUN.She and M.Monroe were so Luminescent. So beautiful.Decent. I must point out so is Jacklyn Smith
@@traceyraybould7148I know. One of her last movies, she had a minor part but I hated the way they never did closeups and it was cuz of her face. Even sweet Farrah fell prey to getting talked into going under the knife. BUT it never destroyed her beauty really.
