For the people that don’t own horses- or for the people that don’t know about shoeing horses. This does not hurt the horse, some people say that it hurts, but it don’t. If it hurt the horse they WILL let you know. They would kick you. So please don’t start saying in the comments that this hurts them, and tell the farriers there doing it wrong. They know what there doing, if they didn’t know the horse will tell them.
Dude thanks i dont know much about shoeing horses i just watch these videos for the satisfaction side of it but really wanted to know if that hurt them or not. I always thought the same thing that if it did hurt them the horses would act differently but its good to know. Thanks
For those who don't know, restoring the hooves of the pet horses is really important otherwise there will be increased chances of injuries while racing or running. Wild horses don't need this restoration as they run a lot and it wears down their hooves. But for the pet/racing horses, this needs to be done manually as they are required to stand when they aren't racing. Hooves are like human nails but thicker and so, shoeing doesn't hurt them.
@@loonatheuniverse8146 lol, like i said ive never had a horse but I've gotten to ride one when I was about 4 or 5, really fun I'd like to do it again tho
No seas boludo.
@@AntonioEscala16 La RAE dice: Que ejerce su profesión con capacidad y aplicación relevantes y el diccionario de Oxford dice: Showing that somebody is well trained and has a lot of skill... Así que deja de ser un amargado y permite que la gente llame profesional a quien se le pegue la gana...
My kind of job. Pure silence and tranquillity. Not having to speak or interact with humans and you get to work with and help animals. Absolute heaven for me.
Nothing like finishing off a pedicure with nail polish... It's always a pleasure to watch someone who is obviously an expert at his job make it look so easy, when it really isn't anything like easy.
I live in the farm here in Chile and there are not many people who knows this work (honestly it is an art...). This guy is really good, very confidence moves so the horse is relax and enjoying this. Much respect and really good channel. BTW; dogs loves to chew those hoofs pieces..
I love how gentle he is. He stops when the horse gets a little uncomfortable and wants to move their leg. He doesn’t rush at all either just makes sure it’s done right.
I can't decide what I like most about this; is it the way the horse seems so comfortable with the farrier, the kind gentle hands of the farrier when the horse tries to move, the strong, capable hands of the farrier or the sheer artistry of the farrier. I'm not a current horse owner but if I were I would try hard to find someone as good as this gentleman and pay him well. His precision and attention to detail is appreciated. I bet the horses feel GREAT after they have a visit from this farrier. Well done!
When I was a little tyke, I'd sit and watch the farrier work on our horses. I was mesmerized. Here I am, 50 years later, still watching. Still mesmerized. Beautiful work.
Wow! Don't know about the process but I do know when I see someone that's passionate and naturally caring. So I'm happy for the horse and happy that he's blessed with someone that loves horses!
I find the way you take care of the horses to be more satisfying and calming than others I've watched on here. Keep up the good work! Only half way through the video!
Love how this guy doesn't have to put the horses in a huge body-constricting machine to do this. They just trust his handling. Also love how there's no hero-complex horse doctor that talks about things like his journey and personal goals and how good he is at his job, punctuated by saccharine inspirational music to highlight how amazing he thinks he is.
Definitely. Imagine getting to relax while someone trims your toe nails, making them all silky smooth... Then at the end they put couture shoes, they made specifically for you, on you. Ah heaven! 🤗 That horse strutting in its new kicks 😎
I got a lot of respect for these guys they are helping beautiful animals also I could never do this my back would be on fire from bending over that long lmao
I love watching this even in person its so interesting and reading these comments about what he is doing and answering questions i love that it puts me to sleep
You do such great HOOF WORK!!!! I love it when you scrape the white part of the hoof as well as the frog. Could you devote a video to how you sharpen your hoof tools? SO satisfying and calming.
You should do a short video about yourself one of these days. I'm curious and would love to know how you got into this and if it's always been your passion! Maybe a little about where you're from or a little backstory too. Just a thought! :)
I can pretty much gurantee he's married :) But I get where you're coming from, I'm a straight guy and even I can tell he's probably getting a lot of attention from women.
So very fascinating . Well I am over 70 yo and back in Jr High ,,in the 60s . The school brought in a giant computer with cards that you filled out and they processed them to determine what profession you would be good at ,, Mine said Blacksmith . Probably should have done that .Your horses are so cooperative .They must really trust you . Thanks for sharing your great profession. Have you ever worked on a Clydesdale ?
@@faysettles2652 putting horse shoes on DONT hurt the horse. It’s a hoof it has no nerve endings. Similar to when a woman gets her nails done. Sanding the nails to prepare for acrylics don’t hurt right? That’s what this is too. Scratch your nails right now. It doesn’t hurt. Clipping your nails don’t hurt either, so why would a horse hoof, which is just one giant tough nail, hurt?
@@ruerue244 found it ...my damned video wasnt loading from the start it was doing that stick freeze bounce ahead thing. And the purpose of torching the frog is where they are at its really dry which causes the frog to harden with callousing...heating the frog softens it so it can be pared down.
A couple of questions if you ever get around to it: Why the blowtorch? Is it to burn off the manure? How do you know how deep to shave? How do you know the best angle to cut at for the horse's leg? Do the previous holes from earlier shoes ever cause problems like decay or infections? How do you shape the shoe so right every time? Can someone apprentice to become a farrier or is it all through universities now?
I could watch this hours and hours... This job is full of tradition and those who do it have a very good feeling for the mood of the horses. Besides of that the have to prepare the irons just right. If they don't it can cause much pain for the horses.
Me encanta como el caballo se siente tan seguro contigo y tu haciendo su pedicure tan tranquila y suavemente,me encanta tu trabajo, ojalá seguirte viendo y te quedó muy lindo 🎉
I remember when our horses get their shoes changed I would be there watching, I've always loved watching horses getting shoed, I got step by a horse once for being too close watching lol but it was worth it
I don't know why but before going to sleep I love watching this type of job...it is so relaxing and I would like to see it personally and try to do it. 🤷♀️🤭
I love watching these because they are helping the animals to heal and feel better. There is not a lot of that going around and it breaks my heart I love all animals I feel good knowing others people feel that way too
I'm glad to see you don't spend a lot of time on the shoe itself, as much as i love watching these types of videos, people pounding away at the shoe to shape it is def my least favourite part so this was definitely a welcome change 🤗
Wow much respect, never knew that putting shoes on a horse was so involved. You guessed it I am a city boy that did all his time in the kitchen. Your job just fascinates me for some reason.
Привет из Подмосковья , наблюдать за тем как вы работаете - это получать удовольствие , это фантастика , вы Мастер - Мастер с большой буквы , и это здорово ; удачи вам !
Mine gots shoes... Like real shoes, like yours and mine. Have to put on each time I ride him. It's like having a big two years old baby. '' Ok give me your feet. Great. Push now. Release. Yeah good boy, three left !''
