Listen to Ben. Intelligent things come out of his mouth. He might be crass or goofy or even crazy, but he is deep.

one of my top 5 favorite science fiction shows ever. was a great shame syfy canceled it. but then again look at all the great shows they've canceled and the crap they have replaced them with. Last show on syfy i'm watching now is warehouse 13, once its done I have no reason to ever change to that channel again.

Y'know, often when I'll daydream a plotline from some forgotten Star-Trek NG or DeepSpace9 thread - the main protagonist is Ben Browder, outside of the usual suspects/cast. He has a humor and delivery that are natural for punster one-liners. I can picture him in some roadside/starside bar opposite Dax (DS9) plotting some way to save Quark in order to further along a "forlorn-hope" mission concerning Odo. There's a thread or three that can be addressed along those lines.

I would watch a re-boot. The baby would be an adult by now but I would still want the focus to be on Mom and Dad.

Agreed. Ben Browder is one of my man-crushes, along with Bryan Cranston and Joseph Gordon-Levitt :)

Still a hot looking man, I wish he'd do more work or get on another series.

some aspect that's still a work in progress, even if everything else is settled and uneventful. I think it's far more important that a show comes to a natural stopping point that feels satisfying but lets the characters and the universe they occupy live on. Which is to say that certainly major cliffhangers should be avoided/resolved, but other aspects can leave open possibilities or questions. A healthy fan-fic situation doesn't have to indicate a series that ended unsatisfactorily.

I never got, and it always confused me, when a show ends that some people complain that there were threads left hanging. The problem is that as soon as you wrap up every thread, the characters stop existing - or needing to. Like, Ben's wondering where they are now. That's by virtue of the fact that there are things still unsaid or unfinished with them. And that's a natural part of life - nobody's life ever wraps up in a neat clean package. Whether it's work or personal or other, there's always

This is the Ben Browder I would’ve liked to have seen in Farscape. I love the show, but I feel the high school jock locker room persona of his character was way over the top, and got tiring really quick. The character didn’t act like he held a “doctorate”.

Seriously? I mean..you do realize one of the main reasons he got cast in that role wasn't his acting skills..but because he was one of the most beautiful men on TV..right? He was walking eye candy. Gorgeous eyes. Beautiful hairy body. And a butt that could stop traffic. The fact that he's a fine actor was just frosting on the cake. And I could have eaten that cake all night long.. 😉

Idk about that he is basically /just/ ten years older but i never had too much of a problem. 1. He is basically a stereotype american, the show is Australian remember. 2. He is basically hysterical, and everything is absurd to him. 3. and his doctorate is irrelevant in farscape because even some alien bum knows a hetch drive is more advanced than einstein, who probably appears to them like a 17th century alchemist appears to us. 4 i dont think he had a doctorate he got into NASA thru nepotism with his father 5 astronauts can be jocky, atheletic plus clever types
