Claudia Black 's StarGate SG-1 TV-series bloopers from seasons 8-10. Claudia Black played a character Vala Mal Doran in StarGate TV-series 2005-2007. Remastered from: stargate.mgm.com/browse/videos...
The hardest time whenever i rewatch SG1 is when Vala first appears and then it takes like forever since we see her again. Claudia really helped a lot to make it not so bad when Richard Dean Anderson left the show. And of course was nice to see her again with Ben Browder after Farscape.
Both she and browder were the best thing to bring in once Anderson left, she was on as a guest earlier but he got the full time lead.....that being said baccarin was the worst
Gnawer Shreth: I was once asked wtf did I find so watchable about Farscape? To which I unhesitatingly replied: Claudia Black and GiGi Edgely. Ooooh yeahhhh.
@@Heldemon Lexa is good looking, doesn't do it for me like Amanda and Claudia does. Jewel was super cute when she was doing Firefly, but mmm is just ok now. Not a sci-fi babe to me. Amanda and Claudia are.
She can switch from funny to heartbreakingly dramatic in an instant. What an actress and such a fun person. Absolutely no one has her special cadence of saying things and her comedic timing. Anyone know her from Farscape?
Yes I love her in Farscape but I actually saw Stargate first so Vala is so different from Aeryn. Claudia is so good at dramatic is right. And I just recently watched Pitch Black. I think Shazza would have done better to listen. Lmao. But she was great as usual. ❤
I honestly feel that the last two seasons of SG-1 where just never of the high quality of previous. But Claudia Black as Vala was the highlight by far. She's just awesome.
Dang! You can really tell how much fun they got to have on set! Check out the bloopers for "Get Smart" by comparison. Every single mistake is a full-on swear, despite how fun it looked after editing.
Claudia (Aaryn Sun, Vala Maldoran) is one of the first characters I fell in love with when I started watching TV in the 80's. Still love the actresses. Great talent.
Oh my God when Claudia black first walk through the Stargate. Ouch………. Well let’s put it this way I watch Stargate over and over and over again. Just watch her play her role in the series. What an absolutely gorgeous woman.
Loved Ben & Claudia in Farscape, but I wasn't sure about bringing them into SG1 - Seems I was wrong, they both brought something different to the feast!
Okay seriously, why are most of the bloopers gone? There used to be bloopers for pretty much every season, now, there's only a few remaining for individual actors. Where have they all gone? Does anyone know where I can watch them elsewhere?
It's funny how the cameraman reflexes are so in-grained that he keeps Amanda Tapping in the centre of the shot even after it's obvious the take is busted, in the last bloopers.
A man not knocked out by this lady, 10 yrs ago or now, is not alive. Besides she's a natural non-plastic-surgery beauty, she's bright as hell....that's smokin' attractive.
Claudia Black reminds me of Sophia Loren...both women being much more beautiful looking as they matured. Look at Claudia in the 1st few episodes of Farscape, then towards the end...such a beautiful and charming woman.
She always plays such badass women that when you see her break character it’s such a difference but she seems like she’d be so amazing to meet in real life
between Tapping and Black, how the hell did anything ever get done on those shoots, that's the real miracle here... wonder what the actual blooper-real ratio is for those two... :D
When watching these types of outtake clip compilations I'm always curious how much the various screw-ups and forced re-takes adds to the production time/ cost of a series or movie. I'm sure that compared to the overall cost of a project it is minimal, and they factor a certain amount of time and expense into the planning for any project
It costs a LOT especially back then when they were shooting on real physical film. The film alone while rolling is about 50-100$ a second when you consider developing sorting and editing and laying it all out to take the best cut then scan it. combine that with a camera operator making 80$ an hour, a focus puller making a bit more, and a whole crowd of specialised trades people running lights electronics, sound guys makeup touchups, then someone to make sure all the cuts will work together even though they almost never shoot from start to finish, and when you see pyrotechnics in close proximity to actors that is thousands of dollars per second because you have to use good stuff that won't blow up in the actors face... And to shoot the sets need building and dressing. Basicly rule of thumb is you get 5 pages of script or 5 minutes of usable footage shoot on a good day. And if its outdoors there are shooting fees that can go up to 20k per day. The producers and sometimes directors get a percentage after everyone's salary is paid and sometimes that is zero. So when you hear the director sounding mad it's because he is. Not getting the scene right or actors coming unprepared and taking 4-5 extra takes or goofing off can cost tens of thousands or more and if they run over then they work 6-7 day weeks 18 hour days. So when you hear the director call reset and he sounds pissed... he has reason to be. Shooting a series like this costs 1-2 million for each episode taking about 10 days each episode. doing the math 1.5 million / 10 days 18 hours each 1,500,000/180 hours roughly 8,500$ an hour or 150$ish doll hairs per minute so flubbing a scene like these costs about 1500$ for 10 minutes wasted give or take for a single shot which adds up quickly.
@@kg4boj That being said a good producer understands letting people blow off steam for 5 minutes can save significantly more time later. People who are frustrated, tired, upset etc - make more mistakes, let them blow off the energy and the next take (and generally the rest of the takes that day) is less likely to have mistakes.
@@limacnaughton3352 That all depends on the nature of the problem. There is a lot of work to do on set, when they have a reset the crew is going to be setting up for the next shot and the actors go straight from the stage to hair and makeup for a touch up and will likely stop by the catering table on the way and have a small bite to eat. Most actors are professionals and not the primadonnas you see going on diatribes storming off set. If most non irreplaceable actors (ie anyone but randy quaid, tom cruise, etc) go off and become unstable they risk violating their contracts and that can be quite costly.
@@kg4boj I think there is a significant difference between taking a couple of minutes to let off steam by joking around - like we see in these clips and behaving in a way that significantly disrupts a shoot. After all there are very few people who can be completely on their game in their profession for 10-12 hour days.
@@limacnaughton3352 Actors and film crews always work crazy hours. Shooting sites are rented by the day, most times you have to shoot at night for big indoor places like stores and malls, etc. 12 hours on site is pretty standard. And if they are in a hurry 18.
It was him leaving but it was also about character growth O'Neil had to move up and move on and a suitably competent commander had to be brought in with as little training time as possible he fit the bill
I would just like to say this for the record - if there is another live action Stargate series: Carter should be in command of the SGC and one of the SG-1 members should be one of Gen. Hammond's granddaughters.................thoughts?
+jacci_sulueti He was one of the zombies in the episode 200 when Mitchell was describing his zombie invasion script pitch. It's the back lot of The Bridge studios in Vancouver, BC.
Gorgeous, talented but not right for sg1. Both her and Mitchell was a bad. Not bad.. Just not right.. I had Vala as wallpaper on my phone for a few years.. Totally dig her. Not in sg1 tho.
