I personally find archers to be my favorite ranged/DPS unit late game. TBH early game I will actually mostly rely on my footy/grunt and caster and wont really pick up ranged pierce unless the enemy has hunts and I wait until I have a pretty solid army before starting to mass archers. Archers have the quickest base attack time, insane range, and amazing damage once you get the upgrades. HH's on paper are solid DPS, but since their range is so low, they easily get buffs dispelled, and they will tend to move forward into bad positions to attack the enemy air. Archers on the other hand are so far back that they can sit there with roar, bloodlust, inner fire with out ever being dispelled. In fact, the enemy air (especially destros) will have to move forward into terrible positioning to reach the archers. Another thing to consider is how stacking waves is ESSENTIAL to pushing towers/winning the game. Since HH's have such short range, you may win your fight, but many of them will probably die fighting your first enemy and the rest eventually die when the next wave arrives. Since archers have so much range, they have a high likely hood of staying alive to eventually start reinforcing the wave after you.

Wait. Does lightning shield hurt the unit that has it? Is that special for DS? Also what’s the rules on friendly fire? Do hero AOEs do friendly fire? Lightning shield?
@Grubby you know these names from OG WC3. Black-Russian, Mega.Rebel? I ran into him on another game and shared your videos. Now he's on a nostalgia trip. He wasn't into tournament but claims 300-1 on ladder UD. 2002 or 3. He was friends with Happy420 and isn't sure if the Happy now is the same. It's funny he knows all the old names you know but he doesn't know you til now lololol.
