Jeff checks out a number of interesting folks buried in Kansas City's historic Union Cemetery who led interesting lives. They include the principal who was interested in student Walt Disney, Josephine Anderson who died in a makeshift prison collapse in 1863, touching off a slaughter in the town of Lawrence, Kansas. Others are painter George Caleb Bingham (who owned the building that collapsed killing Anderson); the first territorial governor of New Mexico and others.

WOW!! So much in this episode. Thank you for bringing out the veterans, the one that truly breaks my heart is the civil war veterans. I can't even imagine going to war with fellow country men. Yes chiggers are no joke they will leave measles type Dots on you legs for weeks. I ran into them before. Thanks for ANOTHER GREAT EPISODE OF HISTORY HUNTERS.

What an eclectic, diverse story each of those people, you highlighted, had... a few of them quite tragic. As you were walking around, I was thinking that all of these "unknown" people had their own stories, most likely, all forgotten over time.🪦❤️‍🩹... This was really very interesting, Jeff. 👏🌿 Those buildings are about as close as I've ever seen to a cemetery, without a barrier, of some sort.

I know of a cemetery in IL that i don't think anybody knows about. Buried deep in the woods not far off a beaten path. Lots of weird symbols, ancient headstones, and trees as big as a VW growing out of them. Really spooky. Even ran across an old lady (?) i say that lightly and she told me to leave that her kind don't like people like me around. All i was doing was checking it out. She was spooky too. Never went back. Nope, never did!
