I agree. I hate the word "trends". I've been wearing Dunks since the early 2000's and I still wear them (current and old) today along with other shoes like Grenson's, Tricker's, Greats, Van's, etc. If you got style, you can make a white t-shirt, a pair of 501's, & footwear look good. Also wear what makes you feel comfortable, not just "trends" like this dude.

@@BryceKicks yes but do you know what’s a worse feeling? Missing out. If you buy shoes for the hype and scarcity good for you, but you should buy them for the looks. It doesn’t matter if it’s “over” sold but as long as it looks good buy it and wear it.

Companies do that intentionally to create a sense of scarcity and people associate value with that which they can’t easily obtain. If there’s an abundance people scoff because it’s no longer a rarity. I think both concepts are silly. Simply create a decent product line at a reasonable price and people will buy it ! But people will always be a slave to the “drop” 😅.

Agree. Being a "trendy guy" seems way too expensive for me. I wear what's comfortable, high quality and time less. Seems way too expensive to follow trends. Having to buy new jackets etc every year. Been wearing my Carhartt Detroit jacket every spring and fall for the last 5-6 years. Not gonna stop wearing it because it's "out of fashion".

Classic style has evolved every decade to remain not just being labeled "old people"

They probably aren't gonna look at them in the same way as us. But yeah what most people wear as far as sneakers go, most of those sneakers are timeless classic sneakers.

Dunks and SB's as a shoe are definitely a trend. they went from being popular in the early 2000s to going quiet during the nike basketball sneaker boom of the early 2010s when the South Beach 8's were the IT shoe. now nobody wears Nike Basketball. Were people wearing dunks during that time? yes. however they were not nearly as popular as they are now or the early 2000s. therefore they're trendy

@BryceKicks you missed the point. SBs are classics. You're talking about a time when we were limited on getting shoes. Now people have more options. But any major city I go to I see SB Dunks. Now Jordan's, Air Force 1, Air Max 90/95/97, SB dunk, and Yeezys are all staples in sneaker culture. Nobody is ever going to say any of those are out dated.

SBs are straight fuego. You throw a pair of those on and any real sneakerhead will pay their respects. Joe blow dunks might get you a couple weird stares though 😅

if you compare the amount of nike dunk releases in 2017 for example vs the amount that released in 2022 you would notice that there are WAY more released in the past few years. thats my point.

It costs a lot of money to keep up too. I brought Yeezys two years ago. For me it was a lot. But it hurts knowing they're not in style anymore lol. Same thing goes for my cologne collection
