Race War first race, Jessy vs Tran
1995 Volkswagen Jetta A3 [Typ 1H]
Jesse's (Chad Lindberg) whip may have been an automatic. It may have featured a turbo Integra noise that was supposed to sound like the stock 2.0 4-cylinder engine with nitrous. But the kid had heart, and mentioned that this was a project car he'd been working on with his dad. We can respect that. Your first car isn't always going to be the most awesome ride on the block, especially if it comes from your parents. That's probably the most realistic thing in this entire series, if we're honest.

The calipers are covered. This is a decorative kit to pretend it's a big brake conversion. The calipers are behind what you're looking at along with the real rotor.

I’ve just seen this on craig Liebermans Instagram that they used the civics mc rigs while filming this scene. I’m guessing they didn’t have Jetta mc rig so they put white tape around the door to make it look as if it’s the Jetta. Movie magic at its finest

They are not even racing these cars 🤣 1:07 Look the dashboard and the door panel, they doens't seem to be be VW Jetta's parts, also 1:21 there are numbers painted on the windows, but others scenes doesn't show it. If you pay attention the transition 1:09 until 1:11, it's possible to notice the same rear wing behind Jesse and Tran. Probably they ride the black Civics!

they stopped making it about racing because by the time the 4th one came out and they were developing the 5th one, car culture was pretty much dying out. they also said that if they continued the racing genre, then there'd only be a number of people buying tickets. so they turned them into action movies in order to include a wider audience

smedina0719 They put it there to cover up the real brakes of the Jetta which were a lot smaller. This way it looked a bit better and closer to the real modded Jetta used for the close up shots (aka the ‘Hero 1’ car). See Craig Lieberman’s channel for more info on FnF cars including the Jetta

The rear window of both cars are the same both Jetta and S2000 lol. It seems to be some sort of bracing mechanism at the rear end but both cars has no bracing lol. Look at 1.09 (Jetta) and 1.10 (S2000). then look at it again at 1.53 (S2000)
