Today I'm showing you guys how easy it is to propagate house plants or fruit trees with air layering and grow your plants from cuttings. Today, I'm propagating my tall heart shaped leaves Philodendron Verrucosum x philodendron melanochrysum plant with air layering, and I'm really excited! If you have overgrown house plants such as rubber plant, croton, or dieffenbachia that have lost most of their lower leaves, air layering is a perfect technique to propagate! Woody ornamentals such as azalea, camellia, magnolia, oleander, and holly can also be propagated by air layering. Allow 2-5 weeks for the roots to form, but the air-layer should be checked after three weeks for root formation.
