Job well done Mr Zim . Do you have any information about that 4 storey building. I understand its been like that since the 1990. Some stories say its construction was halted because it did not have the necessary permits for its construction. I believe that, had that building been completed, it would have set the tone of the type of buildings that would come after it, it would have set a very high standard. Most of the ma "Storo" buildings being built there and indeed in most urban high density shopping centres and growth points, the designs are stuck in the 1800's. There is no new thinking at all. I often wondered why residential stands at these growth are so small. The is land, plenty of it. The authorities there need to allocate a minimum of 500 Sqm per stand. This business of 200-300 sqm comes from colonial Rhodesia where plot sizes had to be small, to drive home a certain narrative. The road that drives through the centre of Juru growth point is very wide. I just hope it will be developed further in such a way that they put and island in the middle of the road, then properly marked parking bays. That way the area will attract serious investors (not chancers) and even the quality of buildings will improve. Right now every second shop is a bottle store or a butchery. There are no banks, no as many doctors and other specialist services. Our rural service centres are not developing at all in that regard

Hi the name “Bora” came from a shop called Oribi, it was situated before Juru exit coming from Harare, I stand to be corrected. And It’s actually 52km from Harare main post office to Juru turn off! There was also a restaurant called Ruwizhi, where the likes of Macheso, the late System Tazvida would entertain the Juruians in early 90’s . We used to sell fruits, maize cobs to travelers in transit to other places. We would also chill at shops like Tarisai( Musekiwa) Chapinduka during Christmas times. They were so many buses that would pass through Juru Growth Point. Shiriyekutanga Bus Service that plied Chumachangu route Makaure Bus service Murehwa , Mandizvidza - Dzvete , villagers would also sing “ Mandizvibza yauya, watosara kuenda” Chawasarira - Mutoko, Mucheche- Musami if you still remember Matanda bus service as well.
