Does the LS3 suffer from the revised (driver side) valve cover baffling issue..? I have a 2010 Chevy Camaro with a mid 2009 production date, so it probably has the pre-revised (driver’s side) valve cover if anything. My question though, is if the (older) LS3 (non-AFM/DOD) requires this? The manual/non-AFM/DOD LS3 engines don’t have the PCV routing that the L99 engines in the automatic/DOD equipped 5th gen (10-15) Camaro V8’s have. Instead of PCV routing all the way to the rear driver side valve cover, mine is simply capped off from the factory… On top of that, I was planning to swap out my stock valley cover plate and gasket for it, due to excessive oil blow-by. I noticed this issue after installing an oil catch can; where the catch can would fill up 70-75% of the way, with every ~200-250 miles of driving or so!
i thought you needed to install the fuel injector spacers so the fuel rail crossover wouldnt bottom out on the top of the intake manifold. unless i missed that??
I need urgent help. My son took his intake manifold off but one of the boots broke inside. He bought a new one but they don't come with the sleeves. He was told the manufacturer said he has tonuse the original sleeves so what can he do?
I'm currently installing a fast 102 on a 02 WS6 curious if it's necessary to take the top of the manifold and do the RTV. I didn't see it done on this video and if I don't have take the upper shell off that'd be great.
That's exactly what I'm dealing with. I just I just figured it out and ordered a different tensioner pulley. There's literally no info about this issue.
i want to order this part for my car i looked at several websites and the price varies .. my question is do i have to purchase all the extras aside of the manifold
What do you mean by all the extras? yes, you will of course need everything that makes the manifold bolt on. Besides O-rings and a few bits, it's pretty much complete. That being said, don't do this swap without the 102 mm throttle body. It makes a world of difference.
Stupid question Im sure but learning cars and modding as I go with my Camaro. Isn't a tune needed after installing something like this or does it not matter since it's after sensors?
The FAST LSXR intake manifold has a CARB E.O. number and is emissions legal in all 50 states. A tune is not required. However, there will be greater power gains with a tune, especially if the intake manifold is installed with a 102mm throttle body and other modifications.
and it is because of what happened at 3:59 in this video that the very first thing youre supposed to do after removing the intake is to shove shop towels down the intake ports on the heads or put masking tape over all of them.
If I put an intake manifold to my L99 Camaro ss 2015 which I already put Texas speed headders, full exhust, cai, n dyno tune how much horse power would I get?? Lmk I’m tryna get one but I wana make sure first
“Torque to factory specifications” - since you are actually doing it, why not give all of that information? Also, anyone is bolting on an LSXR intake manifold and not tuning, that’s hilariously bad economics.
We recommend a throttle body and gaskets, you may want to consider an upgrade to your injectors and fuel rail as well. www.summitracing.com/parts/fst-146302b/recommendedparts/part-type/throttle-bodies Thank you for watching!
This is probably one of the worst install videos I've ever seen. Also what happened with the MAP sensor? Looks like it was facing the wrong way when you first put it on and at the end it was turned around.
Crypto Pirate only adds 10 to 30+ for stock engine if you have other upgrades like ported heads or cam or any additional mods done to the car then it will help to your advantage cause the more mods you do to your engine the more as you would say “Needy” your car will get like if you have so much done to your car like ported heads cam smaller pulleys forced pistons bigger crank etc and your still running on stock fuel injectors then you will not get the full potential from the mods you’ve done because it has lack of fuel so you will need way bigger injectors to feed your engine:) hope I helped or at least gave you a look outside the box
I love power adders but so many companies have enormous UGLY fucking logos on their parts. I do not want my engine bay to be an advertisement for their ugly parts.
