@@ovencake523 does he? I know there was some controversy when he said that all farm designers that use a certain should credit him for.. coming up with a concept that a lot of farms use apparently, even though he wasn't even the first person to come up with that. Might be wrong, don't remember the details. Haven't heard of him actually stealing stuff from other people tho.
@@limonlx7182 i first found out about it from cubicmetre's latest video "Operation Hellstorm" scroll to 5:47 in the video - he briefly mentions is passing the original discovery of sand/gravity block duping and how raysworks was demanding credit for people using variations of his designs, despite the fact gravity duping had existed for a few years by then. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eKjJz1WWlCU.htmlsi=WO15Ft8ZPMV2PGEv imo that wouldnt be much on its own but the screenshots he shows after that continue to paint the picture JKM, another technical minecraft content creator, commented on cubicmetres video, saying raysworks more recently took credit for inventing portal chunkloading, even though portal chunkloading was explained by mojang in the patch notes edit: it was end chunkloading, not portal chunkloading. JKM's comment: "Update on Raysworks: He unironically claimed in his latest video that he discovered end chunk loading... An intented feature that was literally included in the patch notes. This is like saying that someone discovered the trial chambers, absolutely ridiculous" my own anecdotal opinion - ive watched some of his videos and the audience he has seems pretty mesmerized at stuff that isnt that revolutionary (or maybe im just desensitized to cubicmetres insane cannons). in any case, the feeling i get is that ray is trying to flex as much as possible and it feels sleazy and distasteful edit: just went through and read one of the screenshots. Raysworks will title stuff like "THE FASTEST FARM 9000/h" but its not actually the fastest farm. he also has rules on his discord where nobody should talk about inaccuracies in his videos. any problems with videos should be DMed to ray. furthermore, there are rules against starting drama on his discord server i could be interpreting this wrong, feel free to come to your own opinion
Honestly I don't even watch these videos for the farm, I just love how everything is documented like it where a behind the scenes video, it's just so entertaining to hear about the technical side of how the farms we players use are made, and to bring it all together, the simple yet elegant editing style, I just love everything about these videos!
I love how survival-focused your tutorials are. The best farms don't have to be the ones that produce the most items per hour, but the ones that are easy to build and will supply enough materials for 99% of people
@@bigbooty17 Hi,in my farm theres an error my snowgolems dont go to the scaffolding and dies to the campfire,im on aternos PaperMc with geyser (bedrock and java) do u know how to fix it?
The other technical players having the coolest names like docm77 or cubicmetre while this guy right here literally has a spiderman skin, is named like the usual name a 2016 kid would make, but has the intelligence of einstein with how he's able to compact large ass farms into something that could fit in a single chunk. I love this guy so much
This is a fantastic video! Wonderfully produced, with super clear instructions, visuals, and a detailed explanation of the actual mechanics. And the farm itself is fantastic too, of course! Possibly the best building tutorial I've ever seen. Every question I could have is answered flawlessly. I take my hat off to you sir, bravo!
Clicked out of curiosity, got dragged in by the casual shade thrown and charismatic voice, marvelled at the technical aspects of the farm. Simply a fantastic demonstration of engineering with the user in mind, both unapologetically efficient and easy to build.
very happy that mojang decided to add crafters and insanely simple but OP slime farms into the technical minecraft update while still disguising it as an exploration update for the normies
Saw the new Oozing potion added, saw all the new cool farms popping up, but after that one-hit Ender ender I knew I had to wait for the bigbooty17 version. Never before has anyone explained the background, technicalities and all the intricacies of the farm in such an easy to understand and succinct manner. It's so nice having much more than a simple "Place block A into slot B and tadaa, your farm is now ready." Amazing work you're doing man, easily my number one source of Minecraft farms. Love the content, keep it up please. :)
I guess I didn't need to dig out that chunk... This farm is great! Innovative design with a fresh idea. Love the small jabs at Ray's Works and other farm "designers". The tutorial and explanation was also clear and concise, great job with that!
Perhaps one of the best minecraft youtube tutorials period. You gave amazing information, well paced and edited shots, and did so while being completely follow-along-able ! thank you bigbooty17
nice to see the slow camera movement pov come back, there are lots of people who cant keep up or understand other tutorials that either go too quickly or dont properly explain anything
Wow, this has to be the best tutorial for basically any kind of minecraft construction I've ever seen. Easily buildable in survival, clear overview of required materials and building site, and a step by step guide of actually building the thing. Awesome.
yeah im not sure to much for his java channel but for their bedrock ones i will say also don't build any of his design especially the stacking villager iron farms i knew it wasnt gonna work by just looking at it at most only 1 would work also he did the stacking wrong and also provided a world download where he claimed villagers because disappeared of a bug which never happens with world downloads
I have to say that this farm was not working for me at the beginning, fences were being pushed out and even with obsidian behind them there was no golems to be found. But finally I found the problem, it was between the mouse and the monitor! 🤦The idiot in the middle (me) didn't carved the pumpkins!!!! Once I carved them everything worked perfectly and I have to say I am extremely impressed with this farm. You did an AMAZING job not only with an excellent tutorial, but you explained the logic behind it which was extremely enjoyable and something that I look for. You gained a follower and I'll joined the discord. THANK YOU!!!
Commenting for the algorithm and to say that your videos really are some of the best tutorials on RU-vid. They are so thoughtful and clear and really raise the bar for Minecraft farm tutorials. I sometimes watch just because it’s satisfying to see a video and a design both put together so thoroughly. Can’t wait to see what other designs you have in store for us.
Absolutely incredible video! Great explanation, really nice details in the tutorial including area/volume considerations. I think the only thing that could improve it is dedicated subtitles/closed captioning (can't stand the auto-generated stuff from YT). Keep up the great work!
Just found this channel a week ago and bro is already one of my favourite RU-vidrs. Something about the videos is just so satisfying and fun to watch, even if I don’t intend to build said farm
well designed farm, cleaning documented timestamps, directions, explainations, updating description? you sir have earned a sub. would love to see more elegant farms like this purposefully watched through the video for the algorithm even tho I probably won't build this
Heck yeah, another RU-vidr making a farm expertly engineered to simplicity! Looking forward to your another creation! As of me, I probably will use this farm after I play 1.21 later (that is, after all of masa's mods come out :P)
I just finished making it. Loved how bigbooty went block by block and the pacing was really nice. I'd say he mainly explained what each part was doing but there was couple spots where not too sure when building but afterwards understood what was happening. My mistakes when making it. When making the snow golem when not spamming does not go in the right spot and just dies in the fire. You have to spam make them in order for them to get pushed on that one fence. Dispenser when filled with pumpkins and not jack o lanterns would just spit out pumpkins and not build snow golem. Shears are for to remove the pumpkin and collect it, not for making the jack o lanterns (obvious now but at time was little confused) even though when I went back booty explained it well. So when I spammed snow blocks it fucked up the build a bit pushing the fence and destroying button when it wasn't making the snow golems. Another mistake early on I made was using droppers and not dispensers. Another problem I thought the build was going to be contained in the initial square but it doesn't at all. So people looking to place it in a certain spot be warned. This build was really nice overall though. Nice and simple. In the future I would much rather have a build FULLY automatic where you just hit a button and everything just gets done and gets put in chests. Things like having a snow farm for the snow blocks (though with booty you do collect majority of the snow back), crafting the slimeballs into slime blocks. Also be warned he builds it into the ground! Imo not ideal when I wanted this in the air and in a constrained location. I'm just getting back into Minecraft after many years and slowly building up my tool chest. Right now I'm just spamming out simple farms just so I am able to make most things without having to go out and spend hours collecting etc (in this case need slime for sticky pistons). Before 1.21 I was mining out a chunk (which takes forever btw) but after 1.21 with oozing it was a no brainer to just build a farm taking advantage of it.
@@FreeKickMerchant Just seeing this comment now. You can't just build one snow golem at a time. You have to just hold right click and instantly keep placing blocks. Once you stop the last snow golem will fall in the fire. If you do one at a time like, make one, stop, it will fall. But if you hold right click placing snow blocks they will instantly keep getting made and get pushed on to the fence.
@@JamesCovington that issue still occours for me and sometimes blicks me from placing another. it will occasionally put one in the fire stopping the process. then two more will be made and then spat back out. i can only get about two stacks deep before that happens and every one just gets spat out and thats with changing the keybinds for faster placement could the fact its on a realm be effecting it? edit- figured it out it seem any system induced lag can interupt the machine.in my case it was my shaders causing me to lag and delaying my inputs thus causing it to break repeatedly
Fantastic explanation, an extremely smart design that doesn't try to overengineer anything and actually takes player convenience into account. A farm, if anything, must be practical. You really took that to heart. That is something I can very much appreciate as an engineer. Well done, got yourself a new subscriber :)
I had the trouble of having the snowmen clip into the fence and burning on the campfire instantly, but we fixed it by swapping the campfire for a stone wall and just letting the water kill the snowmen
@@jonathandavis8511 hmm, I'm not sure what the cause is in the first place, maybe try stairs/slab? Or maybe a dirt path might stabilise it? I tried a few things and even now there are a few runs where I can barely get 32 snowmen in there before they start sliding out, while other times I can dump over a 100 in there.
@@jonathandavis8511 where you have those 2 fences and there is no block there i placed another stone wall next to the observer but when you go start the spawning you have to once again remove it :D so they start droping hope it makes sense :D
I’m having the same problem, and neither of those things worked solved it, but if I try to make golems out of 9 stacks of snow blocks, I still get enough in to just fill a shulker with slime balls, so I’m going to call that good enough.
Seems like the place where you aim in the observer is important. Try to aim as much to the left as you can (but keeping it over the observer) and bind a keyboard key to put the block
Thank you for calling out they six, they make terrible tutorials, half their farms break, they just say make sure you did it right to people using litematica, and they lie about their rates every vid.. If you look at their generic "great tutorial" comments, it looks botted. It's one of the most obvious scam channels in the mc youtube space.
I built a tree farm from theysix yesterday, andbit works fine, then i wanted to build a bone meal farm, also from six, and my lord, why is he using 30 hoppers and 50 pistons? Found an easier one, using just six pistons.
This is an amazing farm and it is really great that you took the time to make it survival friendly and potion efficiant. Honestly way more people heed to see this.
Love this farm! I’ve been having a problem though with the golems falling onto the campfire and preventing me from placing the snow. My orientation is fine and I don’t think it’s a latency issue (it is on a server) so I’m wondering if there’s some other troubleshooting that can be done. Thanks!
this farm is amazing. I was trying to figure out how to get massive amounts of slime blocks for a flying machine array but my previous farm was quite slow. this was extremely fast to build and now i have all the materials i need for my project in a span of a few minutes. thank you for sharing your design.
Having a few issues: 1. Occasionally while placing snow blocks, the snowmen will fall out of place and prevent placing more blocks until the campfire kills them. It seems to happen most often after each stack is emptied from my hand as I swap to the next handful. 2. Thrice this has resulted in the snowmen exploding out in all directions, the pistons stuffing 5 blocks in a straight line somehow, and breaking several fences and the button and a pressure plate. 3. After this snowman explosion, they fall out more often. I have not yet been able to use a single Oozing potion due to this contraption detonating in a wash of snowman across my entire island. But on the plus side, I have more snow than I started with ig.
Im unable to recreate this, the incoming snowblocks should push the golem into place so whenever you stop placing things it will stop. Kinda hard to troubleshoot over comments so you can either post pictures / video to the discord or add me to the realm and I can take a look at it. Interested in what's happening
You are a true genius! I'm talking about all of your videos and builds. They are easy to follow and accessible. You deserve many more subscribers and views!
For anyone doing this on a laggy server, place a chest behind the fence that traps the snowman, it will make it so that the piston cant push the fence and let the snowmen escape.
This tutorial worked great, and took very little time to set up compared to how long it would've taken me to make some of the other, more complex slime farms. Thanks for keeping in mind the more casual survival players.
Really great Video, I just love it. The way you talk, the way it’s cut, the way the Video is structured and also the farm. Love to see more. I like your way of thinking (survival friendly, etc..)
I built this farm, but it didn't work there, The snow golems keep escaping or falling out of the place where they should be. When I'm placing the blocks (looking at the observer) it's to the north, so I don't know what's causing this
incredibly well put together video. thank you for making a tutorial video that actually gives you the info you need (how it works, why it works, how to build it, and additional unnecessary machines with it)
It doesn’t work at the point of placing the snow, the snow drags the fences and doesn’t make a snow golem the only thing that happens its that the dispenser activates and drops the pumpkin and the scissors and doesn’t do anything. I hope you could help me 22:34
Probably the best and easiest slime farm of all time, took me less than 25 mins to build and i got like 20 shulkers of slime balls in 2 hours. Well done! Lookimg forward to your next tutorial about the dark oak farm and the pearl stasis chamber
I love the way you structure these, explaining the mechanics and benefits before getting into the build. I've also built your enderman farm, can recommend.
Idk why but this farm design simply didnt work for me since the pumpkin always placed first or the snow blocks became ghost blocks. I know the alternate design exists but not only is there no step by step tutorial for redesign, it still has the same issues with the pumpkin and ghost blocks when it was aimed to fix that. On top of that, the separator no longer worked as the alternate design didnt even have that, leading to slimes flooding my base. Very disappointed!
The alternate design has it, just loaded up the wdl and I see it. You physically cant place ghost blocks in the alternate design, there is not place for it as you're placing on an occupied block, so assuming you might be mistaken. Suggest redownloading the wdl in case you got a bad version or something.
the farm is amazingly good, efficient, easy to use, no allay, no silverfish, no villager nor zombies, it has a built in auto storage and 99% snowballs drop chance like there's no way it'll stop the farm. Thank you so much, you deserver 1 mil subs (I am subscribed obvi)
Man, your farms are just the best! Super excited for wireless teleporter btw. I built your endermen farm and I just dont know how people can stand to build anything else😄 Its so easy and effective. I even built it wrong! Yeah Im a big fan man, hope the algorithm spreads these awesome videos
omg I love this guide: your voice is amazing; your approach to guide making is thorough and thus overall excellent; your choice in music is just UGH!~splendid, classical for the win; and also your nick and the way you embrace it, love it, love everything about it. I'll definitely make an attempt to build it. and I'll definitely watch more of your videos in a search of guides as awesome as this. keep it up, love you, bye!
Not once have I seen your videos suggested before today. I had no idea what I was missing out on. This was informative & entertaining, so thank you for that :3
Hey man, I love your videos and I love how you show off how the farm works in an entertaining way, keep up the good work and I cannot wait to build all of your farms on my server
Yooo!! This farm is crazy good. Made the alternate version with the iron door on my server and it delivers as promised! So much slime. So much xp. Great work!
oh man, this is this the first time I found your channel. I absolutely Love that you break down how it works, and the advantages of it. Subed and notifications are now on!
i didnt even need a slime farm butt this kept me on the edge of my seat just wanting to leave, very simple, well made yet interesting and educational video :)
bro, I returned to Minecraft 3 days ago after not playing for 4 years and you are one of the best in tutorials, keep it up, I support you with everything
thanks for the video, i just built this today - this update has been really nice for compact singleplayer worlds, being able to have an oozing slime farm and a infestation xp farm wherever you want is really underrated. good xp farms and slime farms used to be kind of a pain in the mid game, and even when you get an elytra you might just have a seed where the nearest ocean monument (guardian xp farm) or swamp is annoyingly far away.
i am into 7 minutes of this video and i am very thankful for you to explain everything about the farm. I thanks to you learned alot about the new debuff effect oozing and i look forward to more of your videos (The upcoming dark oak farm). Btw ofc i subscribed with the bell on :)))
Great farm. I’ll prolly start gathering materials for it when I get home from work as I need a slime farm in my world. I was looking at the Rays works design but it seemed like kind of a pain in the ass
Thank you so much for making the farm without the use of allays!!! Every single farm i found used alays and tutorials were complicated and aldo they did not tell me enough info. You are the opposite of that thank youu!!!!
Amazing video man, I am glad you called out TheySix because I saw their video before this one and their farm was way too over-complicated, had grammar mistakes, and bad explanations. Overall their video was hard to follow so I am not surprised that their farms don't even work. I find it funny that when called out though you got banned from their discord instead of just fixing their mistake. I clicked on yours since it was the one below theirs in the search and it was 1000 times better. Your video and tutorial were amazing, you earned my sub and like.
this is an really great video, great tutorial rivaling people like ianxofours clear instructions and awareness of player need, as well as some great notes on other alternative farms. Amazing job :)
For me, the immovable block behind the fence seems compulsory at this point. I almost always get the pistons to break and stop pushing the snow (the snow gets pushed too far). But everything else about this contraption is absolutely brilliant. I've generated 3 double chests + of slime balls in a very short amount of time. Thanks bigbooty17! Other things that helped were:- -setting up a snow farm nearby to get the initial snow blocks -a semi-automatic alchemy station for brewing ooze potion refills -getting tweakeroo for restocking my hand with more snow blocks -rebinding the place block key to the Spacebar
Absolutely PHENOMENAL video and farm! Gained a sub before I even started building. Sorry to be that guy, but at 18:43 when you said 4 game ticks, did you mean 2? PS: Great channel name lol.
No game ticks are different than redstone ticks. I don't know why redstone ticks are popular since there are redstone components that would do half a redstone tick (2gt=1rst)
This farm is perfect, simple and easy to build. I unfortunately lost half an hour due to wrong trapdor placement, but the description enlightened me. After that was fixed, I got 2 shulker boxes of slime balls from a single potion / 13 stacks of snow. Amazing, you earned a sub
