To fix the weather issue for the daylight sensor, you can build the farm in a desert biome since it doesn't rain or snow there

@@roccoberetti7066 The spawnable area is a 16x16 square, 16*16=256. n = number of spawnable blocks within that 16x16 square. If the entire square is spawnable that gives 256/256 = 1. 1-1 = 0 (0)^30 = 0 1-0 = 1 Probability of spawn success = 1 (guaranteed) if all blocks are spawnable, which makes sense. Of course, if there are less than 256 possible spawnable blocks, n/256 will give us the proportion of possible spawnable blocks e.g.128/256 = 0.5 (half of possible blocks are spawnable) I hope this made sense, please let me know if I'm not very clear or if there is another question.
@nolanmg
@nolanmg 10 месяцев назад
@@roccoberetti7066 My guess is the number of pixels per block the iron golems can spawn on. Meaning n (spawnable blocks) divided by 256 will give you the formula while taking into account every single pixel, other than just blocks as a whole.

If anyone is interested, I built the ~90% efficiency farm shown at 14:40. For a small group of friends on a server it was simple to build and is generating far more than we need. 5 blocks of space between the level the beds are on and the golem spawn floor, and a 10 block fall to the collection/kill area below that.

I second this!!! It’s so useful to know the deep mechanics behind the farm instead of simply the schematic as if there are any different variables like height, biome, material used, difficulty, etc. the farm’s output could be impacted. Knowing the different factors in spawning and the precise workings allows you tremendous freedom to adjust your design to exactly what you need! 21:10 A couple of weeks ago Docm made a speaker system to trigger every night on Hermitcraft. Because of the exact same problems you mentioned with daylight sensors, he used villagers going to sleep as a timer to trigger the system. As they go to sleep before the player can, this could potentially solve the player sleeping issue by using a separate villager not being scared going to sleep as the timer?

If you are worried about the farms to close together you could use a minecart hopper collection system to space them out while saving materials

That’s honestly too impressive to be this underrated, it is so detailed and every info is on point, even tho I never made any farms in Minecraft whatsoever, I understood all the info crystal clear (although am a business/high-math student), but still, all the visuals, and narration, and overall quality is 11/10

THANK YOU SO MUCH, its been sometime I have been a little hiperfocused on minecraft farms and i could NOT find anything about the golem spawn conditions and your video is answering EVERYTHING I had questions about, its like I'm seeing a lesson from that one very good teacher about the subject I love, this video is making me so happy and even though im bad at math it just seems I can understand the numbers you talk about so easily! amazing video! thank you so much!!

I have never felt so satisfied being “clickbaited” because that’s what I originally thought this video would do. Nice incorporation of minecraft in-game mechanics and a little bit of maths insight. A 30-min video feels more like a 3-min video to me, and I enjoy every part of it. Truly stellar content right there. Thank you Nico. Keep it up. 🥂🥂

fantastic video! loved the thorough breakdown of mechanics and splitting it all apart into very small parts (like we're often told to do with problems, but rarely shown how to do) excited to see more of these in the future if you're planning on doing them btw for anyone else the command in carpet is /script load ai_tracker and then /ai_tracker villager iron_golem_spawning
