I do hope he recovers. Let him tell the tale to the department what went right, what went wrong, as I have not seen the video of the ' incident ' you are referring, but a life was lost.

Honestly, its one of the reasons I live in Gilbert. The police here aren't constantly on the prowl like they are in nearby Mesa or Tempe. They basically only respond to accidents or when people call them. I never see them doing speed traps or pulling people over for dumb stuff.

If the US have more policemen like Officer Aranda, there wouldn't be so much police troubles that we are having today. This young police officer restores my faith in the image of US cops somewhat. It always impresses me when a man openly admits from the start that he doesn’t have all the answers or knowledge, that he COULD be wrong and is open minded enough to do the research for the facts. This officer did just that. He didn’t arrogantly stand his ground, he listened and learned and will probably do further research and one day he will end up knowing the facts. Well done to him.
