Ken you got that right, they also started getting rid of the cops that wouldn't go along with it. Good one existed, I'm alive because of them. but this isn't the 80's any more. bad ones have always existed but they would get caught and booted out then they started being threatened and lied about so most the good ones found other work to do.

I live here in Pocatello. Also running for mayor 2025 vs Blad. Although they can run our plates, their conduct and unwillingness to comply with the tax payers simple request is unacceptable. I have met 2 of these officers and I would not have thought the one would behave this way. Unacceptable. I will make a change and I will seek our police to be policed and trained correctly in the art of public relations. Thanks for your video and information Jason.

I'm gonna assume your talking about Amos this isn't out of carictor when he gave me a bogus citation my lawyers ears perked at the fact I recorded the stop and it was Amos. Pretty sad the lawyer was hoping to catch a bad cop lieing. Amos isn't a stranger to this behavior I paid 1500 in lawyer for Amos having 0 proof of any crime but the fact I asked about it upset him.

Go get em Man… Hope you are successfully in your Campaign for Mayor.. If you win cut through the red tape & please try to clean up the local police department. I don’t mind Cops being tough on real Crime , but when it comes to them acting like jumped up Demi gods to regular citizens who are only Auditing or maybe doing something only slightly out of hand . They need to be brought to book & expelled from the force… One again…I wish you every success in your future endeavours…

They should not allowed to run individual plates without cause. The reason is because cops.were abusing this feature and treating it like a dating service when they saw attractive women. Perhaps that has been relaxed now with the use of squad car-mounted plate readers that review ALL parked car plates. But selective plate running without cause is often a symptom of bad policing. Watch how insane they become when their personal cars are videoed. They know the dirty stuff they do with public information.

Why can't he? The lisence plate information is in public view and the officers gather as many leads as possible, it does not mean that they accused him of anything. The officer has as much of a right to take pictures as anybody else, a guy can easily be a part of the break in and impose as an audit to get away with it..

@@Lil_Valor It's not illegal, but most police departments have policies in place and running tags when you don't suspect a crime is generally a violation. The tag numbers are in public view, but the database isn't.

Eric Cantona Courts have decided that police can randomly check license plates because drivers do not have an expectation of privacy concerning their license plates. This is because a car’s license plate can be viewed by anyone in public. Thus, police officers can make use of this information simply based on a hunch or some sort of routine investigation etc.

Very true. These officers need better training to check their egos when they clock in. And I love Amagansett Press, I just wish that he knew the supreme court has upheld that the police are allowed to access any information readily available to them in their police or DMV database while on duty. That includes the running of license plates. They don't need probable cause or even suspicion, especially since license plates are not covered under the 4th amendment.

Bad Larry Ego. The hiring practices of lie enforcement in America now is about quantity, not quality. That stated, there are not enough intelligent people going into the field and it is by design. Agencies now have IQ thresholds (95 is the # I believe) and they hire PTSD laden veterans who will follow orders no matter how immoral or unconstitutional. Because these dullards are so malleable, they beat into their heads all day everyday how special they are and brave and heroic and honorable. These dip shits believe it and come to understand that they are untouchable. Us common folk aren’t going to tell them to do anything. THEY are the boss, even for walking across the street. At least, that’s what they believe and the courts back them up 100%.

My opinion... Control. This one had nothing to do with safety. That was laughable. Superiority. I love good cops. That's why this video made me so sad. These guys may not be all bad... I'm sure. .....but what they displayed here was very sad. I am watching this with my family right now and I just can't believe it. I'm glad there's people who go around to do First Amendment audits. All it does is expose. And it does in other places too. Sometimes the cops are amazing in these episodes... they know the law and they stay in the lane they are supposed to. And then other times you have episodes like this. It's such a shame.

Jason’s words were definitely spot on about the disconnect between police and the public. Last year (2022) it was reported that officer Amos was shot multiple times while responding to a domestic call. He was shot in the abdomen and in the face. Fortunately, he survived the incident but he was in critical condition in the hospital for several months. Another officer was also shot but his injuries were not serious.

@Robert Lewis Rewatch the video. The guy reveals his plan toward the halfway point. He says to the cop that the cop is just the one he was looking for "when I came up here." He's a provocateur. He wants to prod the cops into doing something wrong so he can film it. As to the glass, if it were hit from the outside, it would fall in, not out. There are bad cops. Bad cops are despicable. These cops are doing their job, and they aren't getting sucked in by him

Waaay to many utterly fail and some are the worst examples, yet they're able to remain on the job sucking up taxpayer money and repeatedly doing harm. Who can respect a system that allows that? As far as being provocative, it's sort of like when the police use a bait car. They don't force anyone to take the bait.

Tyranny had been reported in this town before he came, and yes, he was here to find it and expose it, but he did nothing to incite it. He approached respectfully, asked permission to pass, was told by a sergeant to walk around the scene, complied with that request, and was immediately ordered out of the street by the "tyrant he was looking for". As to the broken glass, he correctly pointed out there was no glass outside or INSIDE on the sill and had long since been cleaned up and wasn't possibly part of the investigation they were conducting. Perhaps, it is you who should "re-watch the video".

Not stupid at all, AP was outmaneuvered. The sergeant lead them away from where they were standing to see "evidence" and the other officers advanced to a new point further away from the actual scene. No arguing, no physical force, just a little trickery and AP ended up right where the sergeant wanted him. Do not underestimate the police!

I'm a professional fishing guide, and I can tell you for sure dead fish rot from the inside out. And some live fish start to rot as well, ie Salmon, but they start to rot from different parts of their bodies though usually their dorsal fins will go first. I have yet to see a fish start to rot at the head... I understand the statement, I just don't understand how it actually started...

I think all the officers in this video were very calm and civil, it's the man with the camera that's intentionally harassing them and interrupting a crime scene. These are the wrong cops being recorded.
