We are using slip bobbers with rubber bobber stoppers, a jig hook and night crawlers. we are catching pre spawning bluegills. they are getting bigger and very pretty. These fish fight so hard, it's so much fun, I love it. Had a great day bream fishing. Hope you enjoy

I actually do have that very rod! I LOVE them, except they aren't very durable. I do a lot of fishing in flooded brush, and I have broken the tips on a few. Regardless the backbone and action are perfect for panfish. I have a 5'6" and a 7', and use them.both a lot.

I'll buy them off of Amazon. Yes I am using large size on 6 lb test but you can use a small size stopped on top and it'll stay on a little snugger. There is some tackle shops that sell them also but they're pretty reasonable price for quite a few online.

How does the helix 7 work for finding bream beds?
@FishYanker
@FishYanker Год назад
I like to use side imaging. You can see the circles on the bottom. You can adjust the width of side imaging so you can see up to 300 ft on each side of the boat or you know down to 20 or 30 ft. Pretty handy tool for searching for bream beds.

It's big enough if you got good eyes but I agree with them bigger is better easy on the eyes. if you can get bigger I would. @FishYanker
@FishYanker 11 месяцев назад
Thank you, I will try my best. The problem I have is my hook set is fast and hard. It's a habit I got into when I was a kid from bass fishing. If I set it too tight, I snap off my hook. It's happens if I set my drag for Crappie fishing and then I jump over to bream fishing and they're a little stronger fighters. But yes I will try to improve. Thank you for watching.
