I owned a 31CC Open Bow & it was the best riding, safest feeling boat at wot of any other boat I’ve ever owned. Very predictable & actually does feel “locked-in” when pegged out. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Fountain’s.

@@curranjohnson7489 also a boat that's 5 feet LONGER, and HEAVIER, and even though its got another motor it has way more drag in the water. Also that was a standard edition, the carbon runs over 105mph.

Not to mention that midnight you are talking about is a FULL CARBON FIBER hull…. I could only imagine if this hull was full carbon!🚀🚀🚀

This reminds me of Fountain’s recently released 42 footer video where I thought it’d be a 120mph boat. Then, Fred said it was a 150mph boat, from the factory. It’s unbelievable what they’re achieving, these days.

My friend has a 36 2004 Fountain with 3 x 300 HP Mercurys. When he's doing 75-80, it's drinking 110-115 gallons an hour.

Gauges in video shows about 43-44 gallon per hour PER engine at top speed. So 175 gallon per hour in total or so.

@@GranderMarineElberta plenty of info out there, it was back in 2016/17. It was hull number 101 and they are up to 300 now.

@@KMT15 we owned and sold hull number 101 390 Nor-Tech, quad 400Rs, boat was about 3000 lbs lighter than this 38. Pulling every trick in the book with 2 knot current and extreme tail wind, AV gas, removed the anchor, 40 degree weather, etc. Our fastest peak speed recorded was 94.9 mph and not holding. With a light load and good conditions she was 88-91 mph boat. In the fountain video we had no tricks, no current, cross tail wind and she held speed. The fountain also was rock solid at speed, lots of shakiness in hull and top on the Nortech at the higher speeds.

Y'all are tripping. This guy owned a 390 NT with quad 400Rs years ago. Pretty sure it was good for low 90s at best, he had it on video at the time. The F38 is almost certainly the faster hull. Moreover it's not much of a stretch to say the NT hull likely has some Fountain DNA because Alden spent years racing and working with Reggie before he started with NT.

That boat was partially complete and had no hard top (much less air drag) so it's not a fair comparison
