Hispanic contribution to Hip-Hop is 50/50?? That's a huge exaggeration! Proof that black people can never have anything to themselves without non blacks feeling some way. Did some Latinos join the culture blacks had? Yes. To say Hispanics were responsible for half of Hip-Hop is flat out lies. Some Hispanics love playing both sides, they hate blacks and are racist to them, pledging allegiance to Spain, yet when it's something good about black culture, suddenly Blacks and Hispanics are all one family, and black culture has to be shared.

Yes "you were there" nothing more. My neighbor "was there" when I built my home. Should they get credit for building my home? This is pathetic You were there like the Puerto Rican women who had babies by black American men, should they get credit as well? This is embarrassing. Puerto Ricans have NEVER been known for having any cultural innovations, so why should anyone believe Hip Hop was created by Puerto Ricans. You guys were simply in close proximity to those black Americans and you eventually partook in their culture. Stop attempting to take credit for the black Americans cultural music, stupid! The world knows that black Americans have created every form of American music, not some handfull Puerto Ricans. The low self-esteem of you Caribbean's has to stop. Be proud of your old outdated cultures.

This has to be one of the most Racist, Disrespectfu, Dishonest, Disappointing, and Delusional conversationsI had by two white hispanics that I've ever heard in my life. "We share the same culture?" So are you now attempting to take ownership of Black American culture like you white hispanics did to the brown skin and dark skin hispanics who actually created hispanic culture? Angie and Joe are you two white hispanics confused and delusional or something? This conversation has to be one of those white hispanic jokes that you all tell one another when no ones around, right? Interesting how you people make it a point to never bring on any of the first generation FBA's of what we know today as Hip Hop. Instead you bring on another white hispanic who had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of Hip Hop, nor was he in those circles. So what are we doing here? Your Puerto Rican culture was consume by Black American culture when your people came to the mainland and because Black American culture is by far the most dominate culture on the planet you all were consumed by it. I hope my people learned a valuable lesson from this. After a couple of generations of allowing non- Black Americans into our culture these anchor off-springs lose touch of reality and lose true pride for their own cultures. These people begin to convince themselves that they had something to do with the creation of Black American culture and Black American cultural music, particularly these white hispanics. Angie don't be delusional, you are all guest who simply partook in another ethnic groups culture and cultural music by way of close proximity, nothing more!! You contributed absolutely nothing to the creation of Black American cultural music, you simply participated in FBA culture and just like everyone else, you made money off your participation. The only real contribution Puerto Rican made to Hip Hop was their women having babies by a Black American man.

I wish Joe Would stop LYING about the origins of Hip Hop. Hip Hop originated in the EARLY 70'S with Disco King Mario with the park Jams, Grandmaster Flowers, DJ Hollywood, and of course Kool Hercs legendary Hip Hop parties. During this period there was Allot of ANTI-BLACK racism from the Latin community. They stayed to themselves, and played Spanish music. The ORIGINAL CREATOR of modern Graffiti is a BLACK AMERICAN man named CORNBREAD out of Philadelphia. The CREATOR of Breakdancing was a Black American man named Lauree Myers aka Trixie. GOOGLE THIS STUFF. All the original MC's Scott Laroc, Love Bug Starsky. The creator of EVERY SINGLE ELEMENT OF HIP HOP, WAS A BLACK AMERICAN MAN. Except Cool Herc who moved to the Bronx at age 12, abandoned his Caribbean identity, and adapted into Black American culture, Just like Puerto Ricans and the rest of America. They ADAPTED TO BLACK AMERICAN CULTURE Hip hop was 100% CREATED BY BLACK AMERICAN MEN. Latinos didn't come around until the early 80's, a DECADE AFTER Black Americans perfected the culture.

Puerto Ricans and Latinos never created Hip Hop nor is it even close to 50-50. If they did then Hip Hop Rappers would be speaking spanish alot more and they would be dancing Latin dances back then which they don't to this day. Hip Hop is mostly Black American influenced but as soon as Black Americans don't gatekeep enough and choose to include too many other people then these other groups who may of helped promote it start trying to discredit us and claiming to be the creators. Shouldn't be any "Black and Brown" if this non sense keeps going on.

Culture Vultures at it again first off, theres a difference between being a part and being a creator. Hip hop Rap funk disco techno jazz rnb RAP All were created and pioneered by FBA ADOS Black Americans NOT west indians, Not AFRICANS, NOT AFRO LATINOS, Not Latinos, Not Whites, not Asians, Middle easterns, etc etc. FBA black americans created and founded the roots, the ingredients were already there. Heck what do you think inspired Reggae. and even salsa was heavily influenced by things in africa. Latinos are not a RACE, however alot of them dont vibe with blacks outside of NY....
