I am in LOVE with this month's Stashin' with Stephanie design. I actually had something quite different in mind, but when I realized that my original idea would require massive amounts of background fabric, I made the switch to a medallion star design and the results are fantastic!
Sparkle is one big star, and while it looks stunning, it is actually pretty simple to put together. There are NO Y-seams in the quilt, and I break down how to sew your diamond blocks and turn them into easy to assemble wedges that make up the quilt top. You're going to love it.
The best part is this really goes very fast. I managed to create mine from start to finish in about two weeks including the quilting! And my job entails much more than sewing. In addition to running a business, I also have a six-year-old that we are homeschooling because of the pandemic and a 9-month-old who still nurses every 3 hours day and night. So if I can finish this quickly, so can you.
This month's quilt uses Thistle Patch by Teresa Magnuson for Clothworks. The purple, greens and charcoals are so pretty and will be a fun distraction from any dreary fall days. And the design splits up the light, medium and dark fabrics, so the light fabrics won't get lost against the background.

Stephanie, your channel is AWESOME. You explain everything so well. Since a couple of my block of the months are coming to an end I will have money to join your program. I'm sew EXCITED for 12 FAT quarters a month. Way better than another one I was getting last year. They only gave us 6 for the same price with a project pattern and lots of fabric left over or wasted AND no videos. So your channel is soooooooooooooooooo much better. Luv ya lots... Stay safe and try to get some ME time for yourself.

This is a beautiful pattern, shows off the fabrics and piecing equally well, and with Stephanie's precise instructions in her very clear tutorial, looks totally doable for an intermediate piecer. I very much appreciate the care with which "Stashin' with Stephanie" bundles are put together, keeping out the best choice of fabrics for background & binding, so that yardage can be bought if wanting to make exactly the pattern designed for that month's bundle. Oh, how I wish that shipping costs to Canada were not so astronomical (compared to the fabric price, it almost doubles the order cost!). Perhaps after this pandemic is under control and the borders open, I can convince a friend who lives in the U.S. but comes to Canada several times a month for work, to allow me to ship the monthly bundle to her (the delay would well be worth it!). Thanks for your videos, regardless Stephanie... I can always get your book(s) and supply my own fabric to make your lovely designs! ~Diana K.

to stop the seam flipping, I have a piece of tape covering the ledge and the material just slides over the top easily. :)

Thank you for this wonderful video. I too have a babylock. Do you find that you need to adjust the presser foot presser when piecing? Otherwise I feel like it's a bit grabby. Also, it looks like you're using the standard foot. Do you use a 1/4 inch guide foot or just a 1/4 inch foot without the guide? Just curious for these tips. I'm working on my first quilt.

I'm currently putting this one together. Because I'm somewhat of a beginner quilter, I'm really struggling with how to attach the half-equilateral triangles to the equilateral triangles. The camera angle doesn't really show where the flat point goes. Can you help? I think this will be beautiful when finished if I can just figure this out. Thanks!

Curious if you expect to get more finishing kits for this fabric collection?....I have been on the waitlist for a while but haven't heard anything. I seem to be getting my monthly stashing fabrics after you sell out....bummed. Love the fabrics...
