They do not put vegetable starch in fabric..washing dark fabrics is a good idea..i dont pre wash most of the time...ps. vegetable starch attracts bugs. 😊
I like that your daughter's face was visible when she showed her quilt. I just hate it when these gals (or guys) hold the quilt up over their face and it looks like a quilt with feet. Be proud, smile and show off your quilt. You deserve recognition.
Catching the replay as I just couldn't hang arouond long enough to catch your live. I really enjoy listening to the talk and laughter. Hope to catch you next Friday night. Have a great week! ☺
So, if you don't live near a sewing machine store, you're in tough shape. Seems to me the only option for many of us is "Big Box" store. We all should be aware of the effect the "big box" had on our local businesses. As far as I can tell, a Baby Lock dealer is probably 1000 miles away from me.
If you were going to make a baby quilt what size would you make for this pattern? I wanted to make this for a baby quilt for my goddaughter’s baby, who will be here in November.
I just started quilting and found your videos. I don't care how old they are....I love them! Your personality is like........well like my friends....like mine....the honesty, the lack of posturing. Love you. Relatable. Fabulous. ❤❤❤❤
I'm a historical costume seamstress, so this method wouldn't work for me, but I love the efficiency! I use white ikea bins & wooden dressers to keep all the colors/textures from distracting me
Transitions are hard, and often creatives are sensitive people who struggle with low emotions at times, I know first hand. I see a designer and teacher who is spread too thin. Perhaps selling a thing is not the thing, but selling and sharing the ideas and knowledge is more in line with your true calling. Letting go of the old is hard, but the universe wants so much more for you to be able fulfill your optimum potential. Yes, you have to keep the lights cut on figuratively and physically, but that is not the end game. You are getting close, and I know it's been hard, but your community loves and supports you and can't wait to see what you have to share to next. I know you won't give up, but there is light at the end of tunnel, just keep going. We would love to see another trunk show video!!! No instruction involved, just a low key sharing of quilts we haven't seen before, and some we have. Blessings!!😘
You are so open and honest. I applaud you for starting over- it takes a lot of courage. I had just discovered you and loved your ideas. So do what you have to do and your customers will probably stay with you because your site and you are the best!!
