Kids record everything as well as document their whole lives on social media now. Doesn’t mean they were doing a “stunt for social media”… it means they were out doing whatever they do, while recording it, and the kid slipped and fell. Would sort of be no different if they were jaywalking and got hit by a car. Doesn’t make it a “stunt for social media”. They were filming themselves going somewhere, jaywalked and there was an accident.

I feel sorrow for the parents, but children cannot be brought up in a government bubble. We used to climb water towers, illegally of course, wander in the oil fields, and play around mine shafts. If we were dumb enough or unlucky enough to hurt ourselves or lose our lives that wasn't the fault of the government. We were told not to do these things but did them anyway. There is danger in all areas of city or country life, you just hope you gave your kid enough common sense and makes it to adulthood.

So you mean to tell me your kid at 2 o’clock in the goddamn morning coming from an hour away was only there to look at the bridge. Come on if you want to blame the city of LA for this the only one you have to blame is yourself do better question when your kids are at.!!

So the city didn’t scrutinize the design before it was built to ensure safety?

they have fences but it didn't stop them (and they weren't there on the first few days). This is probably all the best they could do, now they'd want police patrols, and to me, I had felt military should be involved (but its way too extreme).

It was 💯 for a social media, parents needs to watch your kids what’s they are doing!

I don’t recommend anyone climb any bridge at anytime. Teach your kids to have fun ..but with safety in mind.

Can't help but wonder why people are leaving beer bottles at the memorial site. Are his friends inferring he was drinking while attempting this stunt?

RIP lil Bro. Prayers to the Family. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter if this was done for social media or just because. Those fences are there to keep you safe. The moment you go beyond that point, you do so at your own risk. I have a son as well, but he understands there are always consequences for our behaviors. As benign as you may think the behavior is. Tragically, a lot of our youth are paying those consequences with their lives.

The fact that we have to have things border up with fences. Like a big toddler play ground lol
