Wow. This movie trailer caught me completely off guard, I was expecting a comedy, not a real heartfelt story. This movie looks amazing, great cast, strong impactful scenes! I'm down!
Writer/director is Mel Gibson's long-time girlfriend. Will be very cool to see something soulful by a woman who isn't pushing woke weaponized feminism.
I literally was going to post the same thing. I saw Wahlberg and thought, eh what the hell let's see what he made now. This is at the top of my watch list.
I have always thought I was the only one who God has given up on. I have health issues since I was born, have my husband left me, had my life ruined by someone and had all the financial burden. Whether or not I am the only one who had my heart broken whether physically and emotionally I always always never questioned God for what his intentions were. I just silently teared up and said one day it will be better. I am still waiting for it but luckily am still here after all of the operations and broken promises. Life goes on.
@Tonie San Jose I am sorry to hear about what you have gone through but I have just one suggestion...there must be something you can do to improve the quality of your life and that something would be tough to do but do it nonetheless. Life's sort of like a video game, only when you get good enough to clear level 1, you get elevated to level 2. So give it your best and let God do the rest 🙂
As somebody who has faced some pretty wild stuff that lead to a closer relationship with faith I can say this movie hits close to home. I definitely expect it to take that turn halfway through the trailer but I'm interested to check this one out
Based off a true story, look at a man who tries to become a part of the world's largest pedo-ring. Does a really good and righteous job, and god rewards him with a tortured living because of course god does.
@@xcutionunknown9634 I know some might see it that way... God's peace and strength come during the most difficult times... the fact is that this peace and strength through God is on display to provide others an insight to relationship with they're heavenly father. Perhaps it's not as enlightening for others to see God's faithfulness when things are perfect in our lives as when things are most difficult. I for one am amazed in my own life through very difficult times the manner that God exceeded my needs, but also used that time in my life to encounter more of his children. Be open, listen, and be overwhelmed!
I been waiting for this movie. I got the chance to meet Fr. Bart which is Fr. Stu friend. This movie represents hope in this world and in this time of chaos! Praise God! From Austin, Tx!
It's very interesting to see how Mark's acting skills have grown over the past 10 years. From a very mediocre actor to one of the best in Hollywood, it's a very, very cool progression. For a person who wakes up at 2 am every day to do everything - it cannot be otherwise!
Best? Let's qualify that. I agree by the way. He's matured in to a very talented actor and this looks like a fantastic piece of acting. He is now 'among' the best. Might just be an Academy Award in this one for him.
Grown? The Basketball Diaries, Fear, The Corruptor, Three Kings? These are early movies in his career that sold him as a solid actor. He hasn't really grown because he has always been a top tier actor, he just gets bigger movies and more money now.
@@Audard Fear was absolutely a laughable Taxi Driver rip reimagined into a teenage Hollywood cash grab attempt. That movie is absolutely terrible and the cast tried, but couldn't do it justice. Three Kings and Basketball Diaries tho 👍👍
I am very interested to watch this film. I am very intrigued to see MW new acting approach and If I am right and the message is positive, I think it's more than needed nowadays with all the negativeness that flaws around. Kudos to MG and MW and all the cast. Also, glad to see MG overcoming his troubled past and being back in the big screen and doing what he does best being it acting, directing or writing, or simply put being creative. I really admire people who screwed up in their life but they managed to make a come back. Like RDJ who messed up a bit but he not only got on top of it but became one of the most successful, most recognisable and most loved actors. Like the saying goes, "Don't look how hard I fall, look how I got up." I hope they both stay strong.
Mel Gibson slowly coming back to the Big Screen since the Expendables 3 that to be honest he wasn’t to bad in as for Mark he has a lot of good movies in his portfolio I hope this one is gonna be worth the time 🤞🏾
He’s been in 7 movies since Expendables 3 including Dragged Across Concrete, Daddy’s Home 2, Boss Level, Professor & The Madman and Blood Father. GOOD movies
Wow! "Father Stu" (2022) looks amazing in my opinion. I think it is too bad Mark Whalberg did not obtain an Oscar nomination for "Joe Bell" (2021). He gave an incredible performance in that film. The dramatic movies he has performed in, appeal to me more then his performances in action films. Here are dramatic movie examples: -"Joe Bell" (2021) -"The Lovely Bones" (2009) -"The Departed" (2006)
Mark goes to church and takes Communion everyday. I have heard him say that faith and religion are important. I love that he is true, not Hollywood fake Christian! God bless him. Alma is proud!
Well hey brother, let me know if you'd like to hear about how we share the same old testament, but where Christianity goes from there :) your friend, a follower of Christ
No problem. You're all just arguing dogma but worshipping the same ideal. Call it sweet or savory, it's still just a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Arguing about it just makes everyone else wanna eat something else instead.
