Sadness yes but also heaps of gratitude for having enjoyed this pioneer of R&B since 1954. And he did it right. No scandals, no issues. Just a great music man. We are all richer because of him.
Datorita You Tube am văzut toată cariera marelui Fats Domino! Nu poate fi comparat cu 8:15 nimeni datfiind activitatea de șef band, compozitor și de OM.!!! RIP SWEET. MAN. i still. Love you. !!! 8:15 ",
The music and entertainment world has lost a pioneer and legend of the musical world, thank you for your outstanding music ,you will be missed, Rest in Peace Antoine Fats Domino
Gave me 50 + years of Great Music. Saw him a few times in person and even had a short chat with him. Hope, his music will live on forever. R.I.P. Mr.Domino.
Lee Allen and Walter Kimble are among the greatest saxophonist. Fats was not only the greatest entertainer but he knew real talent and picked the best.
Nickygino 1964 2 minutes ago (edited) I was so sad to hear that Antoine "Fats" Domino has passed away and left the world this morning. The pride of New Orleans Louisiana "Fats" who with his boogie-woogie bouncing piano style helped create and invent "Rock & Roll" back in the early and mid 50's. He inspired so many. Signed to the Imperial record label, "Fats" burst on the scene with "Ain't that a shame" in 1955 and the rest is Rock & Roll" history and selling millions of records through out the years! He was a true innovator, creator, inventor and yes a PIONEER of "Rock & Roll". Absolute one of the first top 5 "Rock & Roll" Hall of fame inductees.Time or tide waits for no one, but its so sad that another legend has passed. I was lucky enough to see "Fats" close up and in concert a couple of times in NY back in the early & mid-80's and he was great, Awesome as always. He stole the show! REST in PEACE "FATS "on Blueberry Hill and I thank you for ALL the music and memories you've given us.....Ain"t that a shame, Blueberry Hill, Blue Monday, Im Walkin', Josephine, I want to walk you home, Walking to New Orleans, I'm gonna be a wheel someday............RIP........."FATS".......
The man doing the intro is the legendary Lee Allen ("Walking With Mr. Lee"). The fellow who clowns around in front of the horn players is Walter Kimble.
Thanks cause with the Austin Texas concert I was trying to piece together the musicians with the credits and at first I thought Walter Kimble was A "Red" Tyler who didn't appear in the credits. Thanks Brian Jonestone!
Correct. And as well in countless other records for Specialty i.e. Bobby Charles, Lloyd Price, Art Neville, just like most of the horn players here (this was basically Dave Bartholomew's band). He also played with the Blasters and the Rolling Stones later in his career
