It was a religion on a Thursday night at my place. All the boys came over and we had a few lemonades. That's was Gold. Thanks Fat.

Watched it just about every week for years. As of this year I no longer watch it. The show is now just a "DOG" and very boring. Thanks for all the great memories !

The footy show was a time I couldn't wait to watch it, humour is always important, and you were brilliant at your job. Today there is not a sport related show that comes anywhere close to it. Fatty when you were off for over a year due to an accident, the ratings dropped off. I hope your health is good today and I just wish you a wonderful future. Thank you so much for the laughter, as this world has become far too serious and complicated.

Fatty, we miss you mate. I have been with you from day one as someone who came to Australia from another country and you were my favourite show. I remember all the boys from the halcyon days. I have stopped watching the Footy Show with Erin ... I simply can't relate to her as a quota women in a man's game who simply does not get men. How could she possibly relate. She has never played the game, showered with the boys, had a beer poured over her head after a game, gone through all the trials and tribulations on and off the field that only comrades-in-arms do. What the hell would she know about the commitment required in a state of origin game or representative footy other than just talking about it. Women simply can't have the same male banter that takes place on the field, in the change rooms and after the game, without men doing or saying something to upset the feminists ... they just don't get it and never will ... unfortunately women quotas and political correctness have won out ... next thing they will take from us is the man shed at the bottom of the garden, while they get to keep their female only institutions like women's only gyms. If women insist on trying to infiltrate and hijack a man's game then they should get their own rugby league sides, with their own premiership games, their own state of origin and their own footy show and let it stand on its own two feet instead of breaking down our code. Anyway I have stopped watching the footy show now, but thanks for all the enjoyment you gave me and my mates over the last 25 years. All the best for the future. I can always watch rugby union now.

The footy show should be brought back. It made rugby league entertaining and more roamtic. The taste of rugby league was there and now its missing. Channel 9 should bring it back for a greater promotion and entertainment in Rugby League 💯💯👏👏

When shows were once GREAT......What happened.....

I just walked outside

I only just stumbled across this video, but made me a bit nostalgic, as Fatty and Sterlo and the team were just always there and the show was pure Gold..not always footy but that was the beauty of it....segments like Crack a Fatty etc. But of course the social justice warriors and the politically righteous started to gradually dull it down. Worst decision ever was appointing Erin Molan...she might know her football but so what...got to the point she started talking down to people, talking over them, making flippant remarks. You could feel and see the tension between her and the Fat and especially with Big Marn. I don't know anybody in football supporter circles who had anything good to say about her. So two great top rating shows, tinkered with and gone, including the AFL footy show, as again someone decided add a female presenter to be socially PC, well both backfired....for me though, loved the show and glad nobody has to watch Molan.

Glad he did get the chance to say goodbye and thank those who he wanted to thank. The way it just ended was deplorable you'd think he was Harvey Weinstein the show opened doors for characters like Beau Ryan and Matty Johns who is now killing it on Fox.
