A very thorough test of this product. I’ve been wondering if this product was worth purchasing and your review shows me it is. Good to know you have to keep fat wood shavings dry as well! Thank you OCD!

I can't find a clear answer to my pitch/sap question. I always thought that Pine trees sent sap to their injuries and because of evaporation thicker and thicker deposits of pitch were built up thereby sealing the injury. Is there diluted pitch in sap? or are there 2 completely separate circulatory systems?

Great job/video. I find fatwood rather easily where I live, but would buy it if I had to. Walmart sells 4 lbs. for $5 or so. That is enough to start a 1000 fires or more. Anyone going into the woods should always carry a fixed blade knife, fero rod, and piece of fatwood. Attach fero rod and fatwood to knife sheath with a ranger band. You will get a fire going. Thanks for the video.

How does this stand up to fatwood you have collected yourself? Did your shavings work when wet or did you test them wet? Do you feel these are as good as what you have collected yourself? Good test, keep up the good work. God bless you.
