A note. I did some calculations. Every time you like one of my videos you force anywhere between 20 to 50 Guilty Gear players to see it in their recommended feed. If you want to enact violence on other people's RU-vid feeds, you can like the video.
@@MrOeilomega Bless your heart, as I will never put likesmash requests into an .mp4 directly (They also remain unmonetized), but the discoverability of my videos is tied to it.
If you learn your CH confirms/basic combos, can anti-air 6P consistently, can run afro setups like these, and only do Meaty cS (Lots), Delayed cS (Lots) and Snip(sometimes) for oki, you will be able to do it, I think.
@@Krackatoa I honestly think my pressure is my biggest flaw. It always feels weak and then I eventually get blown up. Appreciate you taking the time to reply with some tips though. Much love
Sometimes it's good to learn why it's good, because when you run into monsters who know how to defend (Either soon or down the line), you'll have counterplay to theirs already on lock.
I've been doing some labbing and you can make the c.S -> j.S -> j.H completely safe by using jump cancel BRC. c.S -> BRC drift -> c.S -> j.S -> j.H. You lose the option to do a crossup/super wall break though without 100% meter, so I'm not exactly sure if it's worth using unless you're attempting to close out a round.
I did the math. Because it doesn't confer a mixup you wouldn't get already, it's not worth it. If you're going to BRC you can go for rising jK>jD > then BRC to keep things tight. cS jc BRC is also good to bait YRC/Burst. BRC normally enables a bonus mixup, but Afro already enables said mixup (You're replacing a meterless 50/50 for a metered one with no additional benefit.)
Yeah, left that out of the video to keep things a smidge more straightforward. I also omitted 2K5D because, while it's technically hard to block, I found a way to block it consistently even when mixing in 2K2D.
Hey Krack!!!! How are you getting the training dummy to get hit by the Afro explosion? Are you setting it to block on Random or something? Thanks for the setups btw
So I'm glad this helped with opening my eyes to some more afro pressure I could use, but I once again ask what the best way to practice post afro safejumps is. It feels like training mode isn't helping much. Is there a particular character's moves that beat J.D on frame 2 or 3 but aren't invuln on startup? I've been using Sol 5k to try and practice, but it feels inconclusive. Btw safejump route I'm tryna use is 236H>IAD>J.D just to get afro lit and to discourage attacking after knockdown.
@@Krackatoa @Krackatoa That's what I did, so I guess I was doing it right. Is there any way to really tell at a glance if you are getting it correctly or is it just a matter of consistency with blocking viper and hitting 5k? Also I'm guessing S Viper instead of H because it's faster?
I may be being lazy but is it possible to do this string without the OTG c.s? I find that timing the safejump after OTG to be much hard than just safejumping
damn i was expecting at least one thing i hadn't seen/used before nope. been spamming this J.s J.h string, still note worthy some chars that low profile afro are a problem like Ram 6P etc. good setup more people needed to know about the K crow option the amount of disrespect this char gets during his frame traps and mixups is criminal go forth and cause the most honorable death fellow doctors death by afro the only real way to go >:3
@@Krackatoa nice thanks! Note to self give the children their shots (to lazy to lab char spes interactions i just do general use these days filthy casual) always appreciate a bone from someone more knowledgeable :)
Can someone please tell me how to set up a dummy in training mode so that they only get hit by 5D in the 5D overhead section? I'm uneducated and can't find answers.
@@Krackatoa oh if it's a microdash that would explain it. Now that I know that' the issue, I'm pretty confident in getting it down. Thank you! (Though 5K is probably a safe fall back). Thanks!
@@tafkat1229 You can also go for dash 2K into 2D or 5D. Most players can't block that well (It's just technically fake against the strongest players who understand K gatling mechanics)
yeah her hurt boxes are whack, there is actually a spreadsheet with how faust's moves interact with characters in his dustloop page I think it's near the bottom
@@MarcosPaulo-qi7dj yeah I stumbled upon that before but it was a lil difficult to interpret. It was a whole spreadsheet on what kind of fro mix ups/pressure worked on the cast.
