Krackatoa said he believed in me at the end so it's worth watching the whole video just for that. This will give any Faust players 5% more luck, as you can see super PRC leaves the clover in plain sight allowing for guaranteed infinite in the corner
As someone who's relatively new to GGST, and it being my first GG game that I've committed to seriously. I find all these tips really helpful, since I've pretty much taken up Faust as my main. However, some of these combos are just insane looking and I'm only just seemingly scratching the surface. It's intimidating, but I enjoy the game way too much. Thanks for the tips, Krackatoa, just wish I had a GGST mentor lol.
Forgive me Krackatoa but I have sinned. I dropped Faust as my main and now Goldlewis is my goto. I still follow you because your guides rock, but I can't resist the American girth of Goldlewis.
I know a lot of others have said it already, but thank you for all the guides! I’ve been doing a lot better in Strive than I ever thought I would and the info you provide is a big reason for that
To be honest, I got an Arcade Stick with this game (besides Tekken my first FG) and I have no clue what's going on but I can *feeeeeel* that this is some super solid info! Good mp4 my guy!
so I have a question about jH how do you and other fausts I see manage to get 2 jH's off of a short jump like at 4:33. I can only manage to do it while super jumping so I hit the first jH but miss the 2nd cause I'm too high up. Thanks for the tips as always!
You want them to land "on" the 5K, instead of kicking into them. 5K is very active, so this is fairly easy to do. This will ensure you have a good height. This jH route specifically requires a specific distance to the wall to function.
If you mean just being able to get both to come out at all, timing is a bit tricky but you have to perform the first j.H as soon as you leave the ground and time the second one to have it come out immediately after the first one recovers. The timing is always the same though, so it's just a practice muscle memory kind of thing. One benefit in neutral is that since the 2nd comes out pretty much as low as possible, it can hit standing grounded opponents (or most crouching if they have afro), and if you're close enough will combo into cS, 2H, on normal hit and Scalpel on CH.
Also note that if you really want to get better, you should probably do these things in the game while watching the tips. It's a good way to add the information to your long-term memory.
I finally got to celestial with Faust only last night! Your videos and tech have been helping a tonne! Looking forward to hanging out on next stream ☺️
Such Beautiful tips! been following your tips about Faust, and I have been growing a lot as a player! This is my first GG game and my second 2D Style fighting game, and I really love Faust.
This is amazing, and I love your content. Can you do a video on reflecting projectiles with dust? Is that even a viable tool? It feels like I can only get it to work in hard read situations.
OOOOOH you're angling down after the airdash. I stole that setup after watching your stream but it wasnt a safeJump or a meaty cause of that angling lmao
1: 5p wait 5p oh theres a whole ass mixup right there 2: c.s 2s hs THE STRING. 3: 2k 2d 1 frame gap anti airs baby 4: 6P 5: 2K 6: j.HS 7: Knockdown after air to air block. It is THAT plus. 8: The command grab safeJump KreyGasm 9: Super PRC. I hate this damned input. 10: Use your rng. It IS worth it. Don't have a boring Faust, stop having a boring life.
I really gotta break my habit of auto-piloting 6P into MMM. I like the situation it leaves you in if 6P is a CH (just a playstyle preference), but when 6P doesn't CH I'm just spinning in the air like a goon when I could've thrown an item. Hoping to see some Faust buffs in the patch later this month.
Can you make a Faust "How to play Neutral" guide? I just cannot get the hang of how he plays and I pretty much get punished all the way with his strings.
finally i been waiting for a full clip of the grounded wall slump strings, i need to get better at doing super prc i always muck up the buffer when ppl do re-stand pressure
Tyvm!! I finally understand how to use 2p and 5p :). Still the overdrive pcr is kinda tight for me gotta lab it more. Got this game like 2weeks ago, started maining faust one week ago and am already at floor 9 thanks to your guides, truly a faust sensei.
Oy man, I really enjoy the vids, it's not only useful, you manage to make it entertaining in it's own right . However i must warn you, at 1:32 you say "repetoire" but the correct pronunciation is "répertoire". I hope your channel continue to grow just like croissants grow in the oven ~ Amicalement, a French Faust
I have a feeling 6p into mmm could be seen as match up dependent. K krack check this out, against chipp and millia, items are less effective cuz of their mobility, and doing mmm leaves u plus and on top of them, neutralizing their mobility. Then against pot, who struggles to move, you just want to throw as many items as you can. I thought of this when i fought a chipp and i threw 💣 and he just ran at me. Then when i fought pot he played the bomb-volleyball minigame with me, cuz he kinda has to. Watcha think?
So I'm pretty new to Strive, and 2D fighters in general, but your guides have been super helpful! However, I lack the ability to do those huge strings off of stray hits, do you have any advice on how to get better at those?
Find the easiest, most basic ones you can. Preferably, try to break the wall if you have the meter to do so. There's a lot of combos you could probably do, even RC combos, with just a little bit of practice, with what you're capable of today. Faust routes are a little tricky, but you'll want to hunt for the stuff that's immediately obtainable first, and worry about harder stuff later. Faust confirms are a little tricky, IMO, compared to some other characters.
Completely late to the party, but can you Wheelchair PRC into the Wheelchair of Pain? Is there even a point to it beyond memes and potentially double clover? It would most assuredly be a flex of godlike proportions, costing 100 meter and all, but would there be ANY utility beyond mindgames?
@@Krackatoa I agree with you here. Faust's biggest strengths is his mid-range attacks, but as of this moment there are other characters that are better than him when it comes to that.
Moves that can meaty but recover before the super connect tend to lose to Super PRC. Should the opponent block or jump on your wakeup to bait super, they tend to lose to Super PRC. The best option to beat Super PRC is delayed c.S, which loses vs. Raw Super. Hope that helps some.
I've always suspected that the hardest part of buffing Faust is that he really can pull off the nuttiest bullshit and the devs were reasonably frightened that players would discover some unintended sequence and RNG a tournament because their opponent grabbed a trumpet and somehow wound up in an infinite for a solid minute while the entire FGC looked on in awe of the bullshit blazing
@@Krackatoa oh for sure but it feels like Faust players just need to shift the paradigm they think in more than anything. He’s classified as “unique” on purpose
@@Krackatoa huh. Could spend some time doing match reviews to get an idea where less skilled Fausts are at so far as things go. I shitpost in the discord a lot and it feels like their mental is holding them back from making progress more than mechanical skill or game knowledge
