Sounds amazing! I hadn't heard of it before so thanks for introducing me to it :) Great video showcasing it as always, keep it up. I really appreciate all of your content!
Woah thanks! You got it. I just listened to some of your tracks and they're so great, really beautiful stuff. And then I checked out your Spotify bio and we have the same producer DNA. Porter, madeon, and anamanaguchi are all heroes of mine. Thanks for listening and I hope to hear from you again!
@@ThisIsOnesto Ooh that's so cool! Fun fact: a lot of sounds on my latest track Everdream were made with Quanta, which I discovered through you! I hope more people will discover your videos because I think everything you share is really valuable, I will definitely share this within my discord community! Stay safe, I'll be waiting for your next video ^_^
duuude i so wish that komplete ultimate had this, i think this is my single favorite plugin from native instruments based on how it sounds. you could score a whole movie with this alone. absurd. i might just have to save for this one too
your demos are so good too, i think thats part of what sways me lol. with the fitting footage in the background too. like with movement of drama, that was making me FEEL
Oh nice! Honestly, with Arkhis, you can just hold out a chord and adjust the modwheel to blend in different layers. I found it works best with minimal notes and playing. Glad you appreciated the visual in the background too! Trust me I want to feel the emotion as much as you do even in these demos.
Great video! I've owned Arkhis for a few years now, but thought I'd revisit it and really understand the different instruments, articulations (drops, stutters etc) and presets. It's such a lovely tool for ambient / cinematic music. Easy to get a bit carried away - always good to use fewer notes, and use the mod wheel delicately. The ADSR and FX sections are not so great IMHO, it's the instruments that stand out. As with many tools, it often works out better to disable FX and instead put your own reverb of choice onto the track.
I think you nailed it. Arkhis is really a less is more kind of instrument. The mod wheel is where the magic really is. And yeah I'm like you, I disable FX and just ended up using my own stock or third party plugins.
Oh thanks! Glad you see the work behind it all. In that video I'm using the Komplete Kontrol S49 MK 2, and that desk is actually an ikea desk, and that second shelf is just a plank of wood that I spray painted white.
Your supersweet bro! I subscribed and gently pressed the LIKE BUTTON! haha Small....request any chance you could explore werewolf by night - Giacchino's new film and score... could you show how you would use Arkhis to reproduce the main theme and others...and maybe even use Arkhis for sound design!
Thanks for subbing, the support means a ton! I hope you stick around because I have some cool stuff to show you this year. When it comes to scoring, I'm still such a beginner. So I'm probably not the best to recreate a film score. I would probably butcher it! However, I hope that if this channel can go full-time, I'll be able to dive deeper into composition and sound design. For now, demos and simple tutorials are what I can do well right now.
