One of you were kind enough to ask if I might share my favourite five gouache colours. I love gouache so it was super easy to say yes! Gouache is so forgiving and the paints last for ages. You can mix them and there is no waste.
This week I am sharing my five favourite colours of gouache that I use to sketch my moody mixed media landscapes. And, as usual, I show you how I use the colours with a sketch so stay tuned for that. You will get a sneak peek of my almost finished sketchbook and the handsomest Mallard drake too!

Hello Debbie, With all the 100’s RU-vidrs I’ve watched I’ve been waiting for you. As soon as I saw you using the blending brush I felt connected to you and your stunning moody muddy artwork. I’ve never used gouache but would love to, I’m very inspired to get the 5 colours you recommended and would love a more in depth video on your gouache palette (which looks amazing) if you get the chance. I’ve binged watched all your videos twice. Thank you again for the inspiration. 😊

Thank you! Water colour should work but the depth of colour might not me the same. Mind you, the coloured pencils help a bit. Deb xx

i use himi gouache and ive depotted some of it into a palette and let it dry. im thoroughly fed up of the mould that develops in the original tubs

I have heard that mould is a real problem with Himi. I have never used them. Letting it dry between uses doesn't seem to hurt the paint and it does get rid of the mould problem. Deb xx
