Like the format and enjoyed the video. Can you tell me the size and weight of our Pro 4X? I have a Pro 4X Short Stick, 7'6" 8/9 wt. and really like it. Took a little while to get used to it and I'm no great caster by any account.

The PRO-4x rod is a 9' 9 wt. as well. The ShortStix are are very interesting rods and quite capable.

I am thinking of buying a used original NRX. Should I choose the NRX+ in 8 or 9 over the original NRX? Thanks.

Depends on what action you would prefer. The NRX has a slightly softer tip section producing an action that is more oriented to the tip. The NRX+ rods have a slightly stiffer tip which drives the action deeper into the butt section. Keep in mind that there is no warranty on used rods.

Nice videos, very instructive. There will be a favourite reels series?

Perhaps. I'll have to see what video potential I can pull out of reels, for unless they're being tested by a big fish, they're a bit boring.

@@hooked4lifeca Is that reel from the outstanding Danielsson series that I see in lots of your videos.. Love them!

Yup, I'm a big Danny fan and have loads of them. They're all the old models as they're so reliable, they just keep going and going and going. Two of them date back to when they wore the Loop label, which puts them at 16-17 years old. You'll also se the Echo Bravo reel as in the video as I was doing a tackle review on it.

@@hooked4lifeca Fantastic! And is great to hear u say that. The person who informed me of them was a full time salt guide and he described them as being over engineered. Is also excellent that one now orders direct from the company which makes them far more price friendly than other brands. Loop tackle have gone down the same road...cutting out the retailers. Some of the other high end brand names r going for silly money. As a top quality reel, I wouldn't go beyond them! Have u any experience with the Control series? If so, I would b very interested to hear your take on them. Thank you for responding. 👍

I haven't had a Control reel in my hands, let alone fished one, but I would have confidence that Danny did it right.

What is your favorite striper line. I do a lot of striper and bluefish fishing, but I’m not sure what line to get for my new 8wt.

It used to be the old Airflo Coldwater Salt 40+ lines, which I still use, but they're gradually being replaced by the Sniper 40+ lines.
