Might be a bit late but if you kill Dedue as a human, instead of the "King of Delusion" scene (which is fantastic nonetheless), we get Dedue and Dimitri saying goodbye to each other, thanking each other for the nine years. Partly why I think BE Dimitri is the second-best ending for Dimitri, he died with dignity and honour. Historians will remember him as the king of steel instead of the rampaging boar he is in the other non-AM route

@@matthewto7406 I actually believe Dedue survives that timeline, since he doesn't sound like he's dying. But even if he didn't, I think we can all agree that Combat at Tailtean Plains is the best main story mission in this entire game.

I actually cried playing through that chapter, Felix killing Sylvain right before that certainly didn't help.

Tbh when I first heard about tailtean plains in crimson flower route, I thought it would be pretty good. Was disappointed.

@@PorkMoney But Alois isn't rude or over the top about it, unlike Leonie. In his mind, Jeralt was like a father to him and Jeralt died protecting the monastery, so he wanted to do what Jeralt did, even if it meant death. What's sad is that he actually thought that his efforts weren't in vain; that he actually DID protect the monastery (which, of course, did not happen). Also Alois didn't know about how fucked up Rhea was, so... more points to the guy. Only complaint i that they made his character pun oriented (which was good at times, but mostly was cringe).

I watched Ashe and Sylvain die. I was there and I watched them die. I watched them get slaughtered by Edelgard's axe. I could've saved them But i didn't.

@@PorkMoney First, Sylvain's growths are probably your luck cause he has pretty high growth stats in every important stats for a physical unit(HP, strenght, defense, speed) Secondly, reason why people love Ashe(and he's my personal fav) is mostly because he's adorable and has a very lovable personality. You can see it mostly in all his supports, he has some of the best support chains(Marianne, Hapi, Ingrid, Dedue, Felix, Cyril, even Byleth). And the point you made is also one of the reason why Ashe is one of my fav. You say that his beliefs arre a contradiction, and that's partly true but that's the reason why Ashe will leave you if you're not with Edelgard or Dimitri. Dimitri because he is his king, and Edelgard because Ashe has his own grudge against the Church. Many of Ashe's supports have him questionning his beliefs, because he doesn't know what he is supposed to do in all this mess. So he will either support Edelgard against the church and to protect the Lonato house, or be with Dimitri and protect his kingdom but never the church itself. So of course he will always do "something wrong" because he will always have to chose something difficult.

I didn't even recruit anybody in my first run. :,) I went into the game blind, so I didn't even know that the time skip was a thing. I knew recruiting was a thing, but I was like "nah, I won't need any more people, I have enough people in my class".

I only recruited the Faerghus trio, Alois, and Lysithea at Derdriu. It was my first run, give me a break.

My first run was Golden Deer when I recruited Ashe and Sylvain and Catherine and the Ashen Wolves. I really enjoyed Ashe and was glade I didn't have to kill him. I killed Bernie though and was sad. I will now always have Bernie, Ashe, and Marriane in my house they're too good for me to have to face with the thought of killing.

I didn't recruit anyone the first time I play every route. Many people say Edelgard did nothing wrong or a Monster, I think she is Zephiel.

Which is why as i went on that route i played my cards carefully. You have to attack Seteth first, where he makes a proposition that they can both leave if they survive.

I just finished CF for the first time, glad I recruited Ashe. I killed him in my first playthrough, but that wasn't too bad cause I was playing VW and barely knew who Ashe was.

Good news: I can kill both Leonie and Ignatz in the same map.

I wasn't able to recruit anyone so I just strategically gone for enemy commander without killing any of the characters. Except where you have to kill everyone, that sucks.

Also this is why I recruit Ashe, Leonie, Mercedes, Lorenz, Lysithea, Marianne, Shamir, Alois, Manuela, and Hanneman in CF. (And Sylvain if I use Bylass.) These are the only characters I can justify joining Edelgard. With anyone else, it feels wrong. I know a lot of people try to say that Felix and Annette could realistically join, but I honestly cannot see it. Especially because Felix realizes he basically became everything he hated Dimitri for and is never the same again.

Benabou Thebambou It actually makes sense if you think about it. Jeralt, Leonie’s mentor, had always been suspicious of Rhea, so she would naturally have doubts about fighting alongside her. Alois, on the other hand, might feel that it is his duty to look after Jeralt’s child, putting their friendship before his knighthood.

CF was my third route. Initially I killed Hilda because she was basically forcing her own death by attacking me. Felt bad, did a pulse. Then used Bernie to constantly use Encloser on her using a training bow. It was perfect, because it stops Hilda from moving and I proceeded to directly defeat Claude while sparing Hilda. Got the best ending for that map.

@@mansoor6678 I used the same strategy in my first playthrough of the game, mainly cause I couldn't defeat Hilda for the life of me, so I had Bernie lock her in place

Cuz Byleth didn’t try to recruit her cuz Like Bernie Marianne feels safer around Byleth nothing involving her Crest probably besides killing herself before she turns into a Beast. Well that’s what I been told.
