There are some tiles inside the game that usually cannot be reached, but that grants you some items. Those are debug spots and they are probably leftovers of testing during development

I think that ending A would be a 20-30 min speedrun without dev spots if you know the game well Edit: and I know someone who knows the game well enough that he want to try a blind run so…

phase move intended purpose to get players a tool to evade softlock, it can only be gained through empty scroll

you can bypass many requirements with phase like required keys for items or boss fights as well as getting to dev spots It's also great for getting out of bad situations or avoiding traps. I have been trapped by a crowmauler with no means to win (red vial) and used phase step to get out of the corner I was in to avoid him.
