your walking through a mall and someone stops you to ask for directions or something and as soon as they walk away your thinking "he's on to me, i gotta get some where safe."
His monologue when he questions if he's actually talking and the sound of his voice distorting is extremely accurate to a real experience of being too out there
Last thing heard by an individual before he got brutally murdered in the middle of the desert... EDIT: actually, its the second to last thing - the first would be "Its okay. Just admiring the shape of your skull"
So the Wolfman and pirate captain Jack Sparrow are driving down a deserted highway when they decide to give Spider-Man a lift. It doesn't get trippier.
@WHITES LOVE MY PLAYLISTS looking at ur playlist nigga ur racist as hell. Fight racism with racism yeah okay buddy. CRT is racist propaganda too, not all white people are racists.
"He'd report us at once to some kind of outback nazi law enforcement agency and they'll run us down like dogs....jesus did I say that? or just think it? was I talking? DID THEY HEAR ME?" lol that's one of the best lines in the whole movie haha xD
not only were they friends, Thompson treated him like a son infact when hunter died in his will he had his leather portfolio breifcase sent to him that held allot of his current works he wanted depp to finish for him
My pastry teacher met Depp when he was hangin out with Thompson researching his life. One night my teacher went to get something in from the walk in fridge and there was Depp getting high on the floor
I love how it was Toby Maguire that got the hitchhiker roll as well. Of all people Toby was the absolute best choice because he just fits this role so well!!!
I guess he had the same problem he had in spiderman 2 when sometimes his webs weren't working and he almost died falling from buildings so he had no choice but to hitchhike for a while and mask his identity with blond hair
@@tobe1207 When I watched The Day After Tomorrow I saw Jake G then I was thinking is this Tobey in that movie that l came to know that it's not him ,it's Jake. I used to think Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniel Radcliffe, James McAvoy and Joaquin Phoenix look like Tobey. Whoa Tobey has many Toppleganger celebrities. 🤩🤩🤩
The best thing is thinking about things from the hitchhiker's point of view. That's why I can't stop laughing at this scene. These two guys are just sitting there and it's quiet and a normal ride and then they start acting like this.
Tripping on any pychedelic really. Now I totally understand it, after getting my brain scrambled by lsd. It perfectly conveys the levels of absurdity going on. I remember I almost drank candlewax out of a candle thinking it was a drink, there was a river flowing in my house, everything around was moving about randomly, left my body at some point, found it again... fun times.
Anyone who has ever been high on anything will feel around @2:00 where Del Toro has that look and body language (especially hands) once the paranoia sets in.
I had this on VHS in 1998 or 1999. Can't remember exactly but nonetheless the movie was on a constant loop for several weeks straight at my College apartment. Even when nobody was home it was still playing, and when someone was home...they were stoned, tripping, rolling and or drunk watching it. Or not. I can't remember. How long were these glazed strips of mustard on the bureau, how long had I been out?
In the commentary Hunter can't get over the way the kid looks and it's so funny, Laila is like "uh that's Toby McQuire....he's Spider Man" and Hunter says "I can see why...He's a perfect representative of the breed." 😂
A very good argument can be made as to its being overrated considering how niche and cultish it is. Personally, I think it is a great movie and one of my favorites, but is not underrated and furthermore probably overrated by a specific type of people that like specific types of stories, such as myself and the following this move has.
Starting to think the dip sh*ts who are in comment sections are legitimately mentally challenged and can’t be bothered to learn the literal meaning of underrated. Pick up a book dumb sh*t
Dude, to the fans of this movie please forgive me. Forgive me for missing out on what is possibly the funniest shit I've ever seen. I've seen 4 clips from this damn movie and I MUST watch it! LMAO!!!
I love how he turns around and looks at the hitchhiker after saying "This same lonely desert was the last known home of the Manson family." Spider-Man is thinking "what have I gotten myself into" and forces a smile from ear to ear. Having done multiple psychedelics, including LSD, DPT and psilocybin, I just can't help to think how accurately it's depicted how you overanalyze everything when you're tripping. Like he did in this scene talking about if the hitchhiker might be making a connection to the manson family if gonzo would talk about manta rays and bats :D
And to think.... this is probably a more reserved retelling of a Hunter S. Thompson tale. I wonder what other stories he'd be able to tell us if he was able to remember them.
"Keep your hands off my fucking neck!" my attorney screamed. The kid in the back looked like he was ready to jump right out of the car and take his chances. *Welcome to Las Vegas: When the Going gets Weird, the Weird Turn Pro* "The Great Shark Hunt"
