Traveling for work this week. Hotel is right next to a Guitar Center, I stopped in to see what was there and there was a nice Ovation 12 string CE778. Felt and sounded great, so I tuned it to Open G (may not be correct pitch but I tuned it to whatever the G string was tuned to) (D G D G B D)

Oh yes. My favourite pink floyd song. Full tutorial on fearless please. Amazing that there isn’t a decent lesson on RU-vid yet. Brilliant!!

Love playing these songs. Sweet sounds. If I play Fearless, at a guitar shop, there’s almost always someone who’ll ask what song it is, and if I’ll show them how to play it. I recently have been playing some open G, after going back and brushing up on Moonlight Mile, and it’s been really fun.

I own two 12s - one acoustic and one electric. They spend the majority of the time in open tunings. Nothing like the sound.

@@12footchain I’ve heard everything from Roger loved the Liverpool FC, to it having some connection with The Stranger, by Albert Camus, which fans have interpreted the song to be inspired by, to they were just into the hypnotic sound of it, and were just still experimenting, even with the most accessible songs they’d written to that point. I don’t think the football chant has anything to do with the rest of the song, just a unique thing to put within it, and at the end.

@@12footchain Well, the story I've always heard was that it was just a dig at Liverpool FC as David, Nick & Roger were all Arsenal supporters, and Arsenal had won the double that year (1971) ... one of which was the F.A. Cup against, you guessed it - Liverpool! Apparently Roger was/is such a big fan of Arsenal that he initially wanted to call Echoes "We Won The Double" or something similar.
