Excellent lesson. I serve in Prison Ministries and after reading your book, "Consider the Cross," I realized that when I go into a prison, even though I was wearing a white shirt and tie, no one looking at me would realize I worship Jesus Christ. Since that day, even though I never served in the military, I have worn a military chaplains tie clip on my tie; it is a simple gold-colored clip with small cross in the center. At first, I got some odd looks when I attended church wearing it but it gave me an opportunity to explain the significance of the clip and the cross and why I serve in Prison Ministries. Again, thanks for all you do. You are a great blessing in my life. PS. I am too old to be a boomer but the Lord has blessed me beyond my greatest dreams.

I wore a cross necklace to church today, Easter Sunday, as I do on occasion. I also saw a Young Woman wearing one. We discussed with each other that we are not ashamed of what wearing the cross represents. I love the painting of the angel comforting the Savior in Gethsemane, but when I see Him on the cross, I get a much stronger and deeper emotional feeling.

I am not surprised members mainly chose pictures of Gethsemane as I have herd far more talks concentrating on this and in comparison very little on the crucifixion and a little more on the resurrection. Thankfully, this year it has changed. I wonder if those who chose the crucifixion scenes were converts from the Catho Ic Xhurch etc. We had never been told as much about the😮 Agony in the Garden before this Church. The stations of the cross were emphasised.

Upon completion of the move “Ten Commandments” Cecil B. DeMille made this statement: “We cannot break God’s laws, we only break ourselves against them.”. As you spoke about the laws of chastity this phrase kept going through my mind. It would be beneficial to have this memorized and repeated everyday as a reminder of the importance of God’s laws.

Woah you did not pause on the joke of demonstrating passionate kissing. But you had me cracking. I have an experience to share about where that line of going to far. I’m convert and yes… didn’t understand where the line was for me but when I dated my husband he knew where that line was and always “slammed on the brakes” (so to speak) when we even approached the line… I was shocked and had no idea why he did that. At first I felt hurt and thought “oh he doesn’t love me” or “I am not attractive enough for him.” I thought maybe I better talk to him. And so I did. I was completely wrong and he said “I just don’t want to go over the line.” He told me he wanted to wait for marriage. Did that make me fall in love with him more? Oh yes it did! So grateful we waited.

@@johnhiltoniiiHere is a fun fact for you. Your aunt, Lynne Hilton Wilson, was my first Visiting Teacher in Brussels, Belgium 😊. I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the International Ward in Brussels. She and her family were amazing friends and examples. Now, 25 years later, I'm learning about the scriptures with you!

Brother Hilton, my family and I toured the Manti Temple yesterday. I don't recall seeing any artwork of the crucifixion. I'm trying to recall if I've seen any crucifixion artwork in any of the temples that I've attended. We believe that Christ walks these temples. Perhaps He has directed that this artwork is not displayed in temples. I'm curious about your thoughts on this. Thank you for your insights and the efforts you are putting forth for all of us.

@@johnhiltoniii thank you for what you post on here I joined the when I 15 because of the Holy Spirit 62 now read and listen have more information in my head but still it's the faith ,and Holy Ghost that I started with as a 15 year old that is the strength I rely on.This gives the reason for the faith thank you to the BYU professors Neal A Maxwell institute FARMS Come Follow Me and others Thanks to Joseph Smith and most of our Savior Jesus Christ God bless you all..

Why would God ever command polygamy if it is so hurtful to his precious daughters??? You are reading Jacob 2:30 incorrectly. Watch Michelle Stone's interview with Don Bradley on this subject for a greater insight!!!

@@TheHappyNarwhals God has NEVER commanded anyone to practice polygamy to raise up seed!! This is absurd. Don't believe something just because it's been said over and over again. Actually study it out and then ask God if it is true.

@TheHappyNawhals As Nelson said concerning this topic, "there is doctrine of God and doctrine of man". He knows polygamy was never doctrine of God. Joseph never taught or practiced it and if people actually read the Joseph Smith papers they'd find out the truth. Raise up seed has Nothing to do with polygamy. Adam and Eve, Lehi and his sons, Um... Noah, Alma, etc... ever notice not one book of Mormon prophet ever practiced? Ever wonder why the early saints struggled SO MUCH? God told them they would not be driven out of their lands and he would fight their battles if they did not practice whoredoms but they didn't listen so, not only were they driven but they were hunted, killed in mass numbers, threats of war always on them. If polygamy was to raise up seed then why did Brigham have 56 wives and 57 children? If you read history you'd find that monogamous couples had over a dozen kids while polygamist had far less. It was pure corruption. No man on earth is non human enough to be able to have sex with many partners and not become corrupt. Polygamy puts man above God as though man makes the rules not God. Just some thoughts. You'll learn truth when you're ready. I was once where you are now😊

Great lesson. However... I'm still to this day kinda surprised that members who think they know the scriptures take one word of Jacob and change it, completely negating the entire message. Thou shall not commit adultery but sometimes it's okay. Thou shall not covet but sometimes it's okay. Chastity and Fidelity are the general rule but not the rule. Black Slavery is bad, women slavery is good when man says God commanded him to practice whoredoms in the name of God. Matthew 3:9 God is able of these stones to raise up children. Pres Nelson said concerning early leaders "there are doctrines of God and doctrines of man". Polygamy is not only doctrine of man but doctrine of the devil. Adam and Eve, Lehi and his sons, Noah and his sons, Alma... every prophet and righteous leader in the book of Mormon practiced monogamy ONLY and were blessed. The early saints had the land cursed for their sakes because of whoredoms. Ever wonder why the isrealites were left in the desert to wander 40 years? Why the early saints were left in the desert for much longer than that. Why the non stop suffering that didn't end until they did away with their abominations?? Food for thought.

He blinks, I noticed but then saw him blink just a little later. His eyes must be moist, which is the only reason we blink, so they don't get dry. Jesus moistens his eyes💜🥰🙏🏼😉
