I had it explained to me that the "Anti" in Anti Nephi Lehi means "mirror image". That makes so much sense to me. They wanted to take on the excellent reflected image of wonderful Nephi and Lehi.
"They were perfectly honest." I need to bury deep bad habits that I have developed over the years that have been masking as good ones. Thanks, Brother Hilton!

Someone on TikTok said not to watch the chosen because this scene made it look like Jesus committed sin I don’t understand how Jesus committed sin in this scene when he’s literally the only person who’s never committed sin can someone explain it to me please
I have see this one of your podcasts and all are so well presented but I just now saw the podcast on 23-29 of Alma. OUTSTANDING.!!!So many eye openers: burying swords, giving of your own life, etc. I write this here because there was no place to make a comment on the version I saw. Came as an email. So I write it here and encourage all to see it. Best one ever from beginning to end.
Brother Hilton your classes always have such inspiration and give others thoughts on these study chapters. I've been home less for a while and I know that I had protection and help with contacting family. I love the faith in the new people Amon or Anti Nephi Lehi Such faith and happiness in learning Truths or Gospel It's Joyful ❤ 29:06 Thank you for each class 32:53
I can't begin to tell you what a positive impact your Master Class has had on me. I listen to a lot of podcasts relating to the Come Follow Me program and yours is always the one I remember most . The stories you tell that relate to the scriptures are very timely and memorable. You are an exceptional teacher and orator. I want to thank you for ALL you do to bring us closer to Christ and His!Glorious Gospel!❤
You pointed out Anti-Nephi-Lehi has a unique voice in the BoM calling God “our great God.” I find this super interesting considering a few chapters earlier in Alma 18 and Alma 22 we read about Ammon and Aaron teaching King Lamoni and his father. Alma 18 we read “5 Now this was the tradition of Lamoni, which he had received from his father, that there was a Great Spirit. Notwithstanding they believed in a Great Spirit.” Then later “26 And then Ammon said: Believest thou that there is a Great Spirit? 27 And he said, Yea. 28 And Ammon said: This is God. And Ammon said unto him again: Believest thou that this Great Spirit, who is God, created all things which are in heaven and in the earth?” The Lamanites called their deity “great spirit” until Ammon and Aaron taught them that this “great spirit” was actually the “great God.” It makes sense this would become God’s title for them as this was their tradition and what they had been taught. Also, I find it interesting I searched the word “great” through these chapters and the Lamanites constantly use the word “great” throughout all their speech! JS is a G for real haha
Helping true refugees is definitely Christlike. However in this day and age there are a lot of people that are not actual refugees but just wanting to take advantage of opportunities in this country. But they are perfectly capable of living a life in their own country. We can’t take all 60 million so I think as long as refugees are properly vetted so we know that they are legitimate we shouldDefinitely help them. And it’s important since the Lord requires us to follow the laws of the land that we bring refugees in legally. So we can be perfectly honest

Before the advent of Christianity, Greeks, Romans, Jews, etc were travelling to Undivided India to trade. 'Krishna Niti' was adulterated to create 'Christianity'. The Christian Bible was authored by adulterating Hindu Scriptures that existed for thousands of years before the advent of Christianity.
Brother Hilton, hearing your little confession (s) obviously brings to mind each listeners also, including me. It is also a fascinating lesson I am learning with regards to documenting trials and sorrows, not just positive things, which of course, now that I see it in black an white is Pollyannishly prosposterous to think people only want to hear from /about successes. I just remember getting a Christmas letter one year that was more like a dump of depressing highlights. I determined that day, that I would mine my shining gems for my Christmas letters instead of my lumps of coal. I think now just being authentic and gleaning with proper reflection in whatever is real but not wallowing in the misery is what the Spirit can testify as to the blessing of the atonement in whatever circumstance we actually live. Ahh wisdom with age and suffering... who knew?
Thank you for sharing your DVD story (and also your experience in Jerusalem). I have a somewhat similar situation. I’m sorry to say that I’m still not quite able to give up the “little” thing that He has asked of me. I know that this seemingly small rebellion is holding me back from so much. Unfortunately, every time I bury it, I choose a shallow hole, inconvenient but accessible. I think I may need to change my perspective. Like your students, there is a bright side to giving up my entertainment choices that are not in keeping with the gospel standard. I’ve been too focused on the wrong part of the equation. Thanks for the great points to ponder.
OK, I'll take the bite...what about Season 2, healing Jesse at the pool of Bethesda... "You don't need this pool...you only need me!" WOW! (But both scenes are good!)
He sounds reluctant to Mary…..because the literal words are mandatory here…..go to Young’s Literal because Jesus is quoting an ancient idiom….used by Eliseus right before Eliseus produced tons of water for three armies in 2 Kings 3:13…”what to me and to you” is said by Eliseus then and Jesus repeats it at Cana. All paraphrasing translations are false and cover up this connection. Jesus would have previously discussed Eliseus with Mary to get her ready for the miracles Jesus would do….both Eliseus and Jesus….multiplied loaves….cured leprosy….raised a dead child to life….produced a needed liquid. Mary feared the miracle period because it would bring on Jesus’ arrest and death given Deut.13:1-5 which mandated the death of any worker of wonders who then taught of other gods……the Trinity….to some Jews. Mary thus feared Jesus being arrested if he produced the wine too publicly……so Jesus quotes Eliseus….” What to me and to you, woman dearest, my hour ( to die) has not yet come.” How did I get woman dearest…from gynai? It means that when the woman is suffering within herself. Go to John 20:13 two angels address the weeping Mary Magdalene with… “woman” gynai. Go to John 20:15, Mary turns around and Jesus who she thinks is the gardener says to her “ Woman, why are you weeping…”. When Jesus sees her suddenly energetic and demanding to know where his body is, He addresses her with her name, verse 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” Likewise Jesus knows Mary is suffering with fear just in asking for the miracle. All present Protestant and Catholic translations of John 2:4 are paraphrases and are totally off point. The literal connects Mary to Eliseus…what to me and to you. Jesus was addressing Mary’s fear of his being arrested. He was saying in our words….Dearest…I won’t get arrested this fast for doing a sign…of course I’ll help.
