It's been discovered that the embalming process straightened and, in some cases, changed the color of hair found among the entombed Pharaohs. The melanin levels found in the dermis and epidermis of that small sample led Diop to classify all the Ancient Egyptians as "unquestionably among the Black races." Numerous scholars, such as DuBois, Diop, Asante, and Volney, have characterized the face of the Sphinx as Black, or "Negroid." Around 1785 Volney stated, "When I visited the sphinx...on seeing that head, typically Negro in all its features, I remembered...Herodotus says: "...the Egyptians...are black with woolly hair"..." ptolemaic egypt is certainly interesting, a golden era of egypt, but i was actually hoping for a true Ancient Egypt Assassin's Creed, with the first dynasties and real pharaohs, like Djoser and Hetephernebti, or at least as early as Queen Hatshepsut.

Say what you will about the newer Assassain's creed games (they suck), but this video tells me you should do more ancient history episodes. I know you said you don't want to do them, but here you are doing one, and I like it.

Lemme tell you that I have never enjoyed playing a game so much like this one before. I'm extremely passionate about Ancient Egypt, whether if it's its history, people, customs, architecture, language, theology, fashion, nature, etc, I just cannot get enough of it. Then this game came along and all of my dreams (okay, almost all of my dreams) had come true. I have more than 700 hours of playtime, replayed the game 4 times, and on the current run I have spent around 250 hours despite not completing the entire map. How is that possible? I just like to take in every single moment while playing it. I don't go around running and completing missions, I move through the villages at a walking pace and enjoy the view, look at what people are doing, sit down on benches and take screenshots. I have taken more than 2000 at this point, I cleaned a whole bunch of them but have approximately 45 GB of photos. Call me a fool but I really *really* love Origins. Can't wait to replay the DLCs as well and finally go through Discovery. It's just so heartwarming and so much fun.

I wish the game focused more on the actual Siege of Alexandria. I mean, I enjoyed the game quite a bit, but I can't help but think of the missed opportunities.

While I do adore your content, and am planning to become a patron, but I really can't support anything that has the name Ubisoft or Electronic Arts on it. Due to their unimaginable greed, carelessness, and arrogance, they have effectively begun killing the singleplayer genre. Maybe the game itself will be good, maybe the history in it is well researched and accurate. However, there should not be a "normal", "deluxe", and "gold" edition to a game, and having purchase a season pass to unlock all the other fucking dlc they throw in there. Also, there is no evidence to suggest Caesar was interested in making Aegyptus a province. He was merely settling the dispute to keep trade flowing, it was Ptolemy's eunuch that thought he could kill Caesar and solidify his power. Fortunately for Egypt, at least for the moment, Caesar was much more clever and he managed to defeat Ptolemy and his regents and restore peace to the throne. Then he departed without even a sense of making it a province.
