Tony Orlando dropped into the CBC News Network Vancouver studios to chat with Ian Hanomansing. The 70s music superstar talked about his long history in the music business and what gives him staying power. He also declared his admiration for the current crop of pop stars, including Justin Bieber, and offered up some career advice.

Tony Orlando still is so very great and I will love him forever. His best song for me was Morning Beautiful. Went to his concert a few years back in Ohio and loved every minute. He sings to everyone not to a select few. Thank you Tony

l loved this I have been in love witb this man since I was 10 years old. I don't think I missed one episode of his show. 40 years later and I'm still in love. My only regret is that I never got to see him in person. But from whar I have seen and heard in past and present clips, he seems like such a warm and humble person. And he still hax his pipes. Thank you Tony for all of the wonderful years of entertainment you hsve given us. If you keep singing, I'll keep listening

I’m 51 and was only a kid when his hits came out, but I love them to this day. Had tickets to see him at the Coach House the other night but couldn’t make it after all. I wish Tony would tour just a tiny bit more. Come to the I.E. for your old school fans!

Mr. Orlando, I want to thank you for all the great memories you have given to me and my late Mother as we would sit before our first color TV back in the early 70's and watch Tony Orlando and Dawn. I've never forgotten your song "tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree". I would play it time after time in the juke box when we went out to eat at Wylie's Cafe in Tacoma, WA. You are apart of American History! Bless you.

When I seen Tony's TV show he had the audience eating out of his hand as a young magician magic I learned his stage presence how we handle an audience I learned from him he was such a good Entertainer whenever I got up on stage I had a love affair with the audience

Gilbert Sanchez, Bell bottoms are coming back. I still have quite a few pairs. Was in the Navy, and bought Navy dungarees, "Seafarers" before I got out. Don't wear them, but still excellent condition. Take care.

Great interview, and appreciate your points of view, but there is absolutely no way music of today even comes close to the 60s and 70s.. to prove it, you'll find a large percentage of young people listen and enjoy the older music, including my 10 year old daughter who much prefers my choice of music to modern stuff.. not many older generation will listen to the new stuff though!

Хорошо выглядит! На нашего Павла Грудинина похож... Две песни у него самые известные? Одну я слышал раньше в исполнении Билли Джоэла и другую на русском языке, ну там что то жёлтое летит под облака, кажется. Я думал это наша Советская эстрада...
