Washington - Mrs. Marguerite Oswald said she told the Warren Commission she believes her son was a U.S. intelligence agent who was "set up to take the 'blame" for President Kennedy's assassination.
Following her three days of testimony before the Commission, Mrs. Marguerite Oswald said she believed her son was "a U.S. intelligence agent set up to take the blame" for the killing. She continued "Who can prove he is not a CIA agent? … He isn't going to say he's a CIA agent, and the government isn't going to say he is."
Mrs. Oswald told a press conference: "Yes, I believe Lee was an intelligence agent, and I so stated to the Warren Commission. … I have as much circumstantial evidence that he was, as the Dallas police that he was the assassin. Being an agent, he would not say it to anyone."
