judging by the paint schemes id say the m-10 is used for fire calls while the eclipse-8 is being used for storms hence why the M-10 is red and the eclipse-8 is silver
Wow, a 8 port siren (Eclipse 8) and a 8/16 port siren (Sterling),It's something you don't see every day by the way, why doesn't the sterling have its second horn?
The Eclipse 8 is sounding the ALL CLEAR or NOON Tone and the Sterling M-10 is sounding the, not used Air raid tone which is now use for Torando Warning! We don't have Air Raid Sirens anymore!
More specifically, one siren with as the "Alert" base, and one running an "Attack" signal. Sure gets your attention. I love disasters. Sirens just add so much drama to the whole thing. (And they let me know when it's time for me to be an idiot, run outside, and go look for the vortex on the ground.)
@Ouranos94 I said that this was a good replacement for the STH-10, not the STL-10. Nothing can replace the scariest sounding siren (The Thunderbolt has nothing on the STL-10 in attack)
@garyhstorms10 The Eclipse 8 gets activated by the county which they do not sound them in attack. The Sterling I believe is activated by Fire Hall were both sirens are located
@Thewoog34 Oh I missread that, but I do think Eclipses are good replacements for STL-10s. I don't know about STH-10s though. The STL-10 does have a very distinct sound that is the epitome of disaster, but dual toned thunderbolts in my opinion have the scariest attack sequence. But that is all relative to the person.
@kdksiren I believe so the county controls the activation of the eclispe 8, allertor, 2001, and 3t22 that are located in the town of Pine Island. I believe when they heard the Eclispe 8 inside the fire hall they then activate the M-16.
@Thewoog34 I agree that Eclipses are good replacements for STL-10s and the T-128s are good for Thunderbolt 1000s. However, I think 2001s are good replacements for Thunderbeams, Models 5 and 7, single toned 500s, and STH-10s due to their roughly similar pitch. I don't think 2001s are bad sirens; as of the latest series they just have some trouble keeping a steady pitch but aside from that they are good and dependable for the most part.
The eclipse is a good replacement to the STH-10 (I do wish it sounded more like the STL-10 though) but the 2001 is NOT a good replacement to ANYTHING. The T-128 is a good replacement for Thunderbolt 1000s that don't work.
@Ouranos94 watch?v=g5O9MsGNUY4 I guess it's cause it's the siren that was used in the Silent Hill movie, but I just find that scarier sounding than a Thunderbolt 100t/1003.
More like what a American Signal Corporation (ASC) Tempest-128 (T-128) sounds like. The Sterling (Model-10 ) M-10 sounds more like a Federal Signal (FS) Q Fire Siren.
