Since we had discovered that the Thunderbolt at Secret Park in Orrville was online again, we decided to try it for the statewide tornado drill since it would be sounding for full alert, as opposed to their usual 10 second blasts for tests. We were joined by a local enthusiast, who lives practically right next to this siren. It was pretty windy on this day, but thankfully, the trees shielded a good chunk of the wind, and it didn't seem to really pick up until after the drill was over. If my memory serves me right, this one is probably about on par with the 1003 at the Paulding County Fairgrounds. I really wish this unit had a decent agastat delay, but aside from that, this year's drill was a good one in my book. After the 'bolt shuts off, you can hear numerous sirens from Wayne County's system continuing for a couple minutes after. Enjoy!
