A couple weeks ago, we met up with several other enthusiasts at this brand-new 7V8 in Gilboa, which was recently installed by C&K Early Warning Systems to replace their Model 7. It was very windy on this Saturday, which made my shots rather shaky, even with image stabilization turned on, but I was able to apply some extra stabilization in editing, which worked out decently. Aside from the wind, it was actually pretty nice out, and the blue sky contrasts with the siren quite nicely. Much like the other 7V8s I've heard, it had a decent punch, although nowhere near the loudest I've heard. The timing for the capacitor on the wind-down should probably be adjusted so it drops off a little later, because it currently drops right between cycles of attack. After the test, Dominic claimed he couldn't hear the Champion on the north side of town, so I'm not sure if it failed or if this siren was just drowning it out. Anyway, this was a pretty fun test, despite the wind. Enjoy!
