For the first Saturday this month, we decided to carpool Alex and Benicio with us to a couple siren tests. The first one was an Eclipse 8 in Wood County, which ended up failing on us, but afterwards, we went over to Indiana for this awesome 1003 in Auburn. This one is on chopper level 5, and it spins at 8 RPM. They were a few minutes late with testing, which did have me somewhat concerned, but thankfully, they started toning out about 4 minutes after noon. This one was honestly louder than I was expecting. I'd say it was at least on par with, if not slightly louder than Wapak's 1003, and it rattled the ground pretty good. It hit 125.4 dBC on my meter, which I do think is higher than it should be, but it was damn loud nonetheless. It also threw out some epic echoes off the buildings across the street from it. Overall, I'd say this definitely made up for the failure we had earlier in the day, and I'd love to hear some of Auburn's other 'bolts at some point. Enjoy!
