But it's not commentary. True commentary doesn't spend all its time predicting shots BEFORE players shoot. Rather, it makes comments on shots players decide to shoot AFTER they shoot commenting on why and how a shot was made, the shape received, speed and english used, angles considered, other balls on the table and so on. There's plenty to talk about, but predicting shots is like an addiction. It becomes a game to see how well the prediction was made. Once started, it's about all a so-called commentator does is predict and little attention is given to the other things I mentioned. A little prediction is ok as long as it doesn't become the only commentary given.

Kevin Thompson it’s funny but you can tell why Earl was the greatest 9-ball player who ever lived, just from the way he commentates. He legit has more knowledge than anybody out there. A lotta people don’t realize this, but SVB and Jayson Shaw both got a lot of knowledge from him. So they play quite similarly too! Seeing the way Earl played back in the 90’s with Efren is the most beautiful thing ever.

In the 11 th game, Gorst breaks and makes the 1 ball. He takes his time to play the 2 ball off the rail. A ref is called to watch. If you slow the video down in "settings", you can see at about 51.55 that he fouls on the red ball in front of the 2 ball. Watch Gorst just after the shot and he shrugs his shoulder realizing the ref was wrong.

both players made a mistake here or there, but very very solid over all, and tightened it up real quick. Joshua Filler had a few ball in hands that maybe he could of better capitalized on. Really should try to find extra motivation for the ball in hand even if it a tough run out or tied up balls.

Earl, Shannon Daulton, Ronnie Alcano, Willie Mosconi, Luther LAssiter, Jason Shaw, Antonio Lining, Toby Sweet, Alex Pagulayan, Harold Worst, Rodolfo Luat, Jimmy Bryant, Ronnie O, George "Ginky" San Souci, Bugs Rucker, Nick Varner....but under pressure for the cheeze has to be Mike Sigel.

Earl Strickland in his prime? What about SVB? SVB's 5 9 ball open wins are more impressive since those wins were global..

anyone can be a champ with those pockets...american pool is a fucking joke. Pools in my country dont have those buckets for pockets, and it makes it way harder to shoot shots like these without misisng a few.

Carbon fiber shafts dont need a ferrule. They usually put a black pad between the shaft and tip.

Question to anybody: To qualify as a legal break, can the required number of balls go past the headstring, bounce off a rail or two and come back out? Or do the required number of balls have to go past the headstring and STAY past it in order to be a legal break?
